Thanks Pedro, I'm so pleased it is still receiving signatures. Although there has been a tremendous response there are still so many people that don't know about this petition, we just have to keep plugging away.

The paper copies are in some of local churches. There's been a great response. I'm sure they're probably already nearer 50000 than 40000! I do hope so.

Maybe someone said the McCanns were hoping for 100,000? Anyway, I hope they're now around 45,000, given that there are a lot of hard copies as well as the online petition. I don't know how many signatures they have on paper but I'm hoping it's several hundred by now.
It would be good if they made 50,000 before too long.
Is 100,000 the number that has to be reached if the matter then has to be discussed in parliament? Does anyone know?

Hi Maria Theresa - yes the magic number is 100,000 before the Government will even consider reviewing the case. I think Clare mistook my message when I said 100,000 had to be reached, not had been reached. That is why it is so important to get people to sign the paper petition that haven't got access to a computer.

I just cannot understand why a review has not been held, this would be norm in this country after investigation of this kind!

In their dreams. Nice of them to make my mind up for me, but they are completely wrong about the McCanns being guilty and me jumping ship - NEITHER is true. I am here and I will always be here until the child is brought home safe and sound and those apologists for bullying, intimidation and stalking get what they deserve!

Thank you Pedro, I haven't really been away I do keep an eye on the forum, just have a lot going on and find my time really limited, but this does not mean that I have changed or that I think the McCanns are guilty. I am even more convinced Madeleine is alive and even more convinced we have to find her.
