We thought it would be a good idea to have this thread for people to dispute the lies in the book, with any facts we can find, The way to beat Amaral is by destroying his bizarre claims is with indisputable facts!

Thanks to Chris for all her hard work in bringing this book over here, it took her an age, she had to cut out the rubbish and the interjected comments of Ana Esse and virtually reassemble the thing to get it into the readable format it is now in. Not an easy thing to do, when each comment you read has a tendency to make you reach for the vomit bowl!
Basically this thread is for members to read in members only and for us to challenge points in the book which we know to be wrong. Wherever possible, if we can provide proof in the form of backup from the files, or rogatory letters, names and dates etc, this would be excellent, then if any of us need to challenge something we see elsewhere, we can come here and look it up. If we do this correctly and keep this thread for factual comments, this could become an invaluable source of reference for all of us.
The best way we can offer support, and the best way to deal with the likes of Amaral sympathisers and those who worship at the temple of Bennett is to actually destroy what they are saying with facts, it beats swearing and abuse any day of the week.
If you notice lately the language of Joana Morais is becoming terrible, her mask is slipping and the real Joana Morais is beginning to emerge, this is a sign of stress and a sign of loss of control, a sign that she feels she is losing he argument, so let's keep the pressure up on Amaral, Morais and Bennett. I honestly believe that if we break the back of these three people, the rest will just fade away into insignificance.

Amaral says in his book:-

I therefore find it strange that Almeida, being such a dedicated officer should put in a request for extended leave! This request was publicised 4.10.07 2 days after Amarals dismissal, but was reported as being requested PRIOR to Amarals sacking.
What was really behind this request, and while Amarals reflecting on how much they accomplished did he forget that Almeida wanted out!
"During the five months that the investigations lasted, we had heard all sorts of comments, but we had got on with our job. We remind ourselves of everything that was accomplished, with a great deal of effort, rigour and honesty, and we are certain that nobody could have done better. That might seem presumptuous, but it's just fair recognition of the conscientious attitude of all the police professionals who worked on the case."

The McCanns Return to the UK

EXAMINATION OF THE OCEAN CLUB APARTMENTS BY THE SPECIALIST DOGS
On August 3rd 2007, I am having dinner in Praia da rocha, near Portimao, with my friend Gaivota. .. A few kilometres away one of the most important search operations ever
carried out in Portugal has begun.
The investigation starts in apartment 5A.
Wrong it started on July 31, 2007.

From then on, we are sure that, at a given moment, there was a body in apartment 5A.
We now have to interview firemen, medical services personnel, previous tenants and employees of the Ocean Club to make sure that no death has taken place in this accommodation, which they confirm. So, we can conclude that the odour discovered is certainly that of Madeleine Beth McCann.
Tosh. They didn't until the Rogatories. Like this one for instance 29 April 2008:
"In response to the question asked of me by the Portuguese Police I can affirm that nobody got hurt or died in the apartment during our stay."

EXAMINATION OF THE McCANNS' HOUSE.
The disappointment is enormous because we will never have access to conversations the McCanns have away from the microphones, and this not least because the McCanns are preparing to return to England. We cannot count on any more than the search of the house they have occupied since May 3rd, 27 Rue das Flores, which they have been able to rent thanks to money collected by the Madeleine Fund.
Can't he get anything right? That's not when they rented the house, they stayed for weeks at the OC/MW resort. Rented the villa as from July 1st.

On August 2nd, at 6pm....
Eddie goes immediately to the lounge. He comes to a stop in front of a wicker armchair on which is lying Madeleine's small pink soft toy, ... Eddie barks to let us know that he has detected an odour: the soft toy has been in contact with a body.
at 18h14 the search started (and when the dog noticed the toy, he played with it, tossing it in the air)
18h36 - the dog Eddy, that detects cadaver odour, 'marked' [alerted in] the area of a cupboard in the lounge, it being confirmed that the dog indicated a pink soft toy belonging to Madeleine Beth McCann.
Think that's enough for today.

This has to be the best one. Remember all the shouting by Gonc and his cronies, about the pink blanket missing?

The pink blanket is also really tidy, almost folded.These first observations are not the only ones that lead us to consider a set-up. The way the bed sheets were arranged but also the child's soft toy equally raise doubts.
- Do you see how the sheets are lying? You'd think the child got out by herself....or that she didn't sleep there.
- And the soft toy she slept with? That's not in a natural position either. How would she have found it, along the pillow like that?
- The mother says that the soft toy was beside the pillow when she noticed the disappearance, which, according to her, was its usual place.
- Which means that the little girl slept without holding it? Children normally clutch their security object to fall asleep. But if that's not the case, the way it's placed doesn't seem natural. She would inevitably have moved it turning over in her sleep.
- The pink blanket is also really tidy, almost folded.

Eddie does NOT go imediately to a wicker chair in the lounge, for a start there is NO wicker chair and the toy is NOT lying on the chair and he does NOT bark, he just sniffs about and pulls something over, which is in the very small space between the patio door and the side of the chair. (See transcript of video below)
This video contains footage recorded inside the Vista Mar Villa, Rua das Flores, in which the McCanns lived from 02 July - 09 September 2007. This video was recorded on 02 August 2007
At approximately 1.49 on the video Eddie pulls over what appears to be some kind of small box next to the chair and cuddle cat falls right out of it on to the floor, then Eddie picks the toy up and just drops it and goes away, he is completely disinterested in it
Again we see this dog Eddie more interested in sniffing around a wall (like the car park)and two doors, where there are no doubt rubber sealants used (again like the rubber seal on the car) than anything else and even then he shows no indication what so ever of indicating a positive. Martin Grime is again insistent on calling the dog back! (Just like the car park)
At 2.16 on the video grime commands Eddie to down and stay and you can hear the video being switched off or paused, the film then cuts immediately from the lounge area to the bedroom. (This pause in filming will prove significant later)
Again Grime is most insistent that Eddie goes into the large cupboard, which he makes the dog enter twice and stands by the cupboard door with it half closed to prevent the dog exiting too fast, and then at 3.25 Eddie comes out of the cupboard, completely uninterested in it or anything in it, but we see Grime pick up what appears to be a PINK blanket! Eddie has already run out of the room and Grime calls him, Eddie does NOT respond until; Grime changes the tone in his voice, suddenly Eddie appears from somewhere (unsure where from) the time on the video is 3.40, which makes Eddie missing for around 10 seconds, (if the video has not been stopped in between, in which case it would be a lot longer time lapse) apparently running around the villa completely uninterested in it.
Eddie reappears at 3.42 and Grime is heard giving the command "FIND, FIND" Grime then leads Eddie straight into what appears to be the dining room of the villa. Grime is heard repeatedly telling Eddie to "FIND" "FIND", the dog seems to want to leave the dining area several times and he is ordered back "FIND" "FIND" Grime appears to know what he wants Eddie to find! Eddie looks at his owner when he is commanded to FIND and then at 4.08 Eddie jumps up and sniffs the top of the cupboard and barks apparently indicating a positive, this is strange, because the dog had been there several times before and showed a complete lack of interest, in fact he showed more interest in trying to leave that dining room. Grime walks around and the now confused and barking Eddie doesn't appear to know what is expected f him, Grime is still issuing repeated and commanding him to "FIND" "FIND" Eddie shows no interest in finding anything then at 4.40 Grime LEAVES the dining area and the cupboards and goes across the hall to the bedroom where grime tries his best to get Eddie to go into the large cupboard again, Eddie is having none of it, he jumps across the beds, Grime calls him again, but at 5.28 on the video they leave the bedroom and go back across the hall to the dining area, where Eddie had been barking previously and someone grunts something at Grime (inaudible) and then Grime is clearly heard asking that person "IS IT STILL THERE"? Grime commands Eddie DOWN and then goes straight to the cupboard at 5.40 and starts opening the cupboards! At 5.46 cuddle cat has mysteriously got from the lounge floor area where Eddie was completely uninterested in it and where Eddie had left it into the cupboard in the dining room.
Who put that toy there? How Did Grime Know to ask if the toy was still there? Was that toy placed in the cupboard when the video as explained above was turned off or paused? Given that Eddie had barked in that room before, why did Grime leave the room take the dog back into the bedroom for what appears to be around half a minute and then come straight back into the dining area where he seemed to know that cuddle cat had been picked off of the floor and placed in the cupboard? Grime then walks across back to where the dog had left cuddle cat when he couldn't be bothered with it and goes on to mark this on the video by looking at the camera and holding cuddle cat as if some huge piece of evidence had been uncovered, when in fact it had not, But what had been uncovered is someone trying to make out evidence had been uncovered and Grime looks like he is playing along with it!
Does Grime think we are all unobservant idiots?
Was Amaral at these searches?
And where is the wicker chair Amaral mentions in his book? There is NOT a wicker chair, something else Amaral has got completely wrong!
