They are going to need resucitation on Morais Blog before much longer. But I doubt that there is more than half a dozen of them.

Re: From Inside The Courtroom
Today's report.
Rosie, you are being very unfair to Amaral. I went down with him today on the elevator and his earring is very very discreet, small even. Actually, I believe he must have two, cause yesterday I could sware he was wearing a cross, silver, white gold or platinum...
Another important issue. Do you know what a majorette is? I believe that the mad woman is a Gonçalette... And she takes her job very seriously, shouting everytime someone gets in or out. Tonight she decided to declare that Gonçalo Amaral is a grande (big or large, take your pick...) man, he is no cheminee cleaner...???
Maria Ihad to read that 2nd sentence twice, I did a double take
(I am being rude)
You are a better person than I am Maria, I am not sure I could be that near him with stamping heavily on his toe! No Isabel said he had his diamond stud in yesterday! lol
Yes I know what a majorette is and I am laughing here at that woman shouting that he is a big toilet cleaner? has she fallen out with him today? lol

Maria, thank you so much. I was so looking forward to your news and I wasn't disappointed. I am looking forward to the McCann witnesses speaking.
I think that Moita Flores has a conflict of interest? His TV programme depends on a favourable outcome for Amaral, how could he give an unbiased testimony? Until tomorrow.
Sleep well

Amaral is trying to turn this into a trial of The McCanns, but it ain't working. The Judge won't allow it because this is not what it is all about. Bennett has tried to do the same thing, and they are both going to come unstuck.
And about time too. This has been some long haul.

Re: From Inside The Courtroom
Maria, love your reports, you are so helpful.
And the majorette joke is GREAT. I totally understood it and had the mental image!!
Oh, and Rosie, I think Maria and the Crazy Portuguese Lady mean "chimney sweep" -- aka Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins.

Re: From Inside The Courtroom
I didnt have a chance to read Maria's report during the day and just logged back on for a look.
Maria, you do yourself proud with your report. You give a true feel for what went on there today. And it does not appear to be going Amaral's way.
Thank you so very very much.

Re: From Inside The Courtroom
I had to come back and add about the Moita Whatsit.
Why is he making himself look like an idiot by going on about the window? If you needed 4 hands and 4 feet to get a child out the window, then there was probably 2 of them. But you know the easiest way to get a child out of an apartment is to use the door.
What a pratt? And for the umpteenth time, do they really think that everyone is that stupid that they dont know that Madeleine could have been carried out a door?

Re: From Inside The Courtroom
Rosie I think Maria meant Chimney Sweep? Maria your reporting was exactly what we needed...entertaining, very clear and informative and funny too. Heartfelt thanks!
BTW the more I read the more it occurs to me that one of the most fundamental differences in our cultures, i.e. Britain and Portugal is the concept of the individual´s perfect right to not only question the actions of their Police but to act for themselves in a situation that may call for it. I found the reference to the "McCanns´Fund" was very telling from one of the witnesses. He was bemused by it and highly suspicious of it. Why, he asked himself would they need it? For WHAT purpose??? The concept that they would HELP to further the investigation THEMSELVES was totally alien to him - after all that was Police Work! This is a classic example of the mindset of people who still live in a POLICE STATE. If the Police say it is over, the investigation is closed, then it is closed..no arguments......we the people, do not question their conclusion, we cannot question their authority. Opened my eyes.
That is how I saw it all.

Re: From Inside The Courtroom
Er I did realise that cheminee was probably chimney, I was trying to be provocative, of well I won't give up my day job and I guess Michael McIntyre can sleep easily in his bed.
I wonder what shouting woman will be shouting today? I bet she really embarrasses Amaral, which is why he keeps sneaking around

Re: From Inside The Courtroom
Thanks again Maria. Even though the subject is serious, you've made me laugh.
I posted it on pfa. (and forgot to push the send button to say thank you in here).
Isabel looks like a very impressive, clever woman. Good to read how she's caught Moita. The Sky reporter didn't tell us. Don't know if the man is biased or if he's just to slow or even stupid to pick up details like this.
I was wondering, and now after reading your report, I'm thinking that the witness Enes, wasn't involved in the investigation as he was already retired by then? Am I right about that?
