For the very first time you can see inside the actual apartment from where Madeleine was snatched, it will help dispel the myths and the lies and the downright bizarre theories, some said to have been put out by sources clos to the Policia Judiciaria (Portugal's PJ).

First Lie To be dispelled is the LIE put about by so-called respected Journalist Felicia Cabrita. In a TV programme and also reported in Portuguese gutter press, was the "MYTH" that Madeleine's blood was found in the block wood flooring. TOTALLY and UTTERLY FALSE. Quite clearly and unequivocally we cans see that there is NO wooden flooring, it is TILES as has been pointed out consistently.

A FACT that was denied by a poster called Alsabella AKA Ana and Marla etc, this person told us that she knew for a fact from her sources and her own eyes that apartment had a wooden block flooring, yet ANOTHER LIE this person has been caught telling about this case. Quite appalling when you think hat this is not a game, it is about a child, an innocent little almost 4 year old girl abducted from her holiday apartment and this person along with odious Portuguese journalists etc has allegedly helped through perpetuating lies and myths, help divert attention AWAY from little Madeleine McCann's ABDUCTION.

IF THE NOTW CAN DO THIS RECONSTRUCTION WITHOUT THE MCCANNS AND UNCOVER EVIDENCE ONE YEAR LATER WHY COULDN'T THE PJ? AND BECAUSE OF PORTUGUESE POLICE BLUNDERS THE NOTW PROVES JUST HOW MUCH VITAL EVIDENCE WAS LOST


From the hall, where he looked into the room, NOTW pictures show that Matthew could only see the bottom corner of Madeleine’s bed.

The twins’ travel cots were beyond on the floor in full view. Seeing them sleeping, he assumed—most probably wrongly—that all was well.

The telltale sign that the kidnapper could already have struck was the open bedroom door—for Gerry had closed it just 25 minutes earlier.
Culprit

NOTW photos heartbreakingly spell out that if Matthew had only walked a few feet further into the room he could have raised the alarm 35 minutes earlier, giving the police a real chance of catching the culprit.

And our photograph of the room, above right, shows the scene that confronted mum Kate when she arrived at 10pm—her three-year-old daughter Madeleine gone and the rolldown window shutter OPEN.

Tellingly, she had found the bedroom door now closed, blown shut by the draught from the open window looking out on to the road below.

Standing on the very spot, it was not hard to imagine Kate’s shock as the horrible truth sank in after three seconds of disbelief.

The view of the wardrobe in Maddie’s room, shows the spot where controversial forensic “evidence” was found——a bloody footprint which was visible to the naked eye.

Inconclusive lab tests found there was a “moderate” chance the blood was Madeleine’s.

There was a report that this footprint matched another in the McCanns’ hire car—although there has never been any confirmation of this.

(Subsequently the footprint on the bumper of the hire care was incredibly found to be that of a GNR (Local Police)

If one year on, the News of the World found clues, surely the detectives could have established more AT THE TIME? Crucial DNA evidence could have been lost during those early hours.

The abductor must have touched windows, doors, shutters, particularly if he was disturbed and had to stay longer than he planned.

It is hard to accept that absolutely no telltale fibres or hairs were left behind.
The stillness and silence of the apartment now is just as it would have been after the McCanns left the children asleep in bed that fateful night.

And our team heard for themselves how much noise an intruder would have made— reinforcing the theory that this was not an opportunistic snatch but carefully planned.

When the bedroom shutter is opened by a pull-cord it makes a loud piercing creak that could easily have woken the youngsters or alerted Pam- ela Fenn, the woman living upstairs.

This is crucial evidence as it shows the difficulty of entering the property by the window and suggests the likelihood that the kidnapper gained access by the front door or even the rear patio doors.

It also underlines theories that the abductor probably had crucial inside knowledge of the apartment’s interior. Even walking across the ceramic tiled floors in the wrong sort of footwear could have raised the alarm.

After the police finished their investigations inside the bedroom, the walls were painted white.

They were said to have been spattered with small traces of blood, but police investigations into that, as into so much else, came to nothing.

Now the rest of the flat has been redecorated and is ready to welcome more holidaying families to Portugal.
But it will take more than a lick of emulsion to remove the terrible images seared into every parent’s mind just one year ago.

chilling pictures show how shockingly EASY it would have been for a kidnapper to escape with Maddie unnoticed by ANYONE on the night she disappeared.
uncovered new evidence at both the BACK and the FRONT of the McCanns' holiday apartment that sheds new light on the four-year-old's disappearance...including new information about the KEY to the flat revealed here for the first time.

At the back our astonishing pictures prove THERE IS NO CLEAR VIEW either way from the balcony and the rear patio doors of the McCann apartment to the tapas bar where her parents Kate and Gerry were having dinner.


The abductor would have had the cover of TREES in full foliage as he crept around the Praia da Luz flat that night.

(My Observation: I am not sure about the foliage, it would have been early spring in May and full foliage would not be until later into the summer)

And at the front we have discovered that the key the McCanns were given at the start of their holiday is almost certainly a COPY of the original that could possibly point to the kidnapping being an inside job in the complex.

Whichever routes in and out were used by the monster, the risks of him being discovered on his entrance and escape were tragically slight.

From the balcony all that is visible of the restaurant 50 yards away is part of an orange parasol at one of the tables because of the density of the trees.

From the restaurant, foliage blocks the view of the balcony to such an extent that a man of average height could have stood in the middle of it next to the wall holding a child in his arms and still NOT have been seen by the McCanns or any of the Tapas Nine at the restaurant.

So the kidnapper could have used the patio door to go in and out, safe in the knowledge that no one would spot him.

That was made even easier because it was left UNLOCKED by the McCanns who wanted quick access to the flat from the tapas bar side.

The patio door could only be bolted from the inside which would have meant them having to walk around to the front every time they wanted to check on their children. The abductor's access to the balcony from the back was also well sheltered—through a side-street gate where Gerry McCann would later meet fellow tennis player Jeremy Wilkins as the doctor returned from his last check on the children.


The gate opens on to steps that lead straight to the balcony and in through the patio door. The kidnapper could easily have escaped this way too with Maddie.

But Portuguese police have always believed any intruder would have used the FRONT DOOR to enter, knowing the McCanns would never use it that night. He could also have escaped through the shuttered front window to the children's bedroom. For this he would have needed a KEY to the front door. The one the McCanns had for the Ocean Club apartment is known in the locksmiths' trade as a "crucifix key"—and is very unusual because it has four sides. Experienced British locksmith John Reeder told us the key used to take us into the flat yesterday is almost certainly a copy. He said: "Most locksmiths would not be able to copy it without great difficulty. The one in the picture is almost certainly not the original."


Supporting the theory that the kidnap could be an inside job, he added: "I would say it is most likely there is at least one other key in circulation as most locks come with at least two spares when they are cut. But there are not many keys around like this one."

From NOTW investigations inside the apartment it is possible the abductor left through the back. But it is also possible he used the window in the bedroom to check the coast was clear at the front and either passed Madeleine through the window to an accomplice or left through the front door.

There is also the evidence of a "partial footwear mark" found just outside Madeleine's bedroom which had traces of blood in it visible to the naked eye, according to a forensics report.

Laboratory tests in Birmingham were inconclusive but found there was a "moderate" chance the blood was the youngster's. There were also specks of blood said to be on the walls of the bedroom, but forensic results have been inconclusive.

(My Observation: Experts have said that absolutely nothing can be drawn from this, IF this was Madeleine's blood as 1) She had fallen up the steps of the aircraft and cut her leg before reaching PDL (2) Children fall and cut and graze themselves all the time)

The evidence of witness Jane Tanner, one of the Tapas Nine, also backs the FRONT DOOR theory. She was on her way back from her flat and saw a man walking quickly across the top of the road, away from the apartments and towards the outer road of the complex.


Whichever way Maddie was taken, her abduction was far too easy—and out of sight of anyone who could have helped save her.


My Own Observations (You May Have More, Please feel free to add them in your own reply to this topic and I will copy and Include them here so we can keep them altogether)

• Some of us have always maintained that this was probably an inside job if I were a detective I would want answers as to why:
  

• A waiter was standing near this apartment and was the only person to supply conflicting evidence
  Why was he there so far away from the bar where he was supposed to be working?
  

• If the footprint on the bumper of the hire care was found to be that of a GNR (Local Portuguese police)
  How did that footprint get there?
  

• When did it get there?
  

• Is there a connection between; The hire car? The abductor? And this GNR Footprint? The Footprint Found Inside Apt 5a?
  

• The Blood found in the apartment has been PROVEN to be that of an eastern European male:
  Have the PJ done anything to trace this male?
  

• Incredibly the holiday apartment was re-let 2 weeks after Madeleine disappeared, have the people staying in this apartment been DNA tested and ruled out of this investigation?
  

• Was this blood theirs?
  

• Portugal does NOT have a DNA based Sex Offenders Register, so this blood could NOT be checked against it.
  

• Portugal did not and astonishingly still HASN'T got a Sex Offenders Register!

Im sorry but this is the first we have heard of a bloody footprint in the apartment.

I doubt such a thing exists. Even the PJ would have been able to make mileage out of that and leaked it to the press. And surely if enough blood to show up as a footprint, they would have been able to do a proper DNA test. And here is why a bloody footprint is ridiculous. Where did the blood come from? If Madeleine was killed and enough blood spilled to make a footprint, there would have been other blood in the apartment, and not just a few little specs on a wall. And if brought in on the abudctors shoes from outside, there would have been multiple footprints. Actually, there must be multiple footprints anyway, as the abductor didnt fly out. If made one footprint, from some fluid, then would make more than one.

IMO, no footprint at all. NOTW must be having a dream.

But interesting about the floor. And also that abductor could have hidden in wardrobe. Very very interesting.

My comment about the amount of blood still stands. If enough blood spilled to allow a footprint, or footprints to be created, then there must have been blood on other items. Such as the sheet, cuddle cat etc. And it would have been visible to the naked eye. It takes more than specs to make a footprint, and there was more than one.

This just doesnt add up.

The footprints were leaked to the press by the PJ, so we have no actual way of knowing if they exist or not!

On the one hand they made much of the fact that as many as around a 100 people had run in and out of that flat and before forensics went in the cleaners apparently cleaned the flat, so how did a footprint show up with blood visible to the naked eye?

None of it makes any sense what so ever. Same with the walls, microscopic blood traces found which were inconclusive, which means they could have come from anyone and apparently the DNA of an Eastern European Male was found in the flat, where?

If there was any blood on the floor then it got there after the flat was cleaned and re-let!

The footprint on the bumper of the hire car was later discovered NOT to have blood in it and it belonged to an GNR.

What an utter complete shambles, the PJ have a cheek calling themselves detectives, let alone 3rd in the world!

The PJ are either riddled with corruption or incompetence. Either way, the Portuguese people deserve better, as do Madeleine and her parents. :x

How many nights was this issue thrashed out on the DX and so many of the Portuguese posters, repeated until they were blue in the face, that the floor was parquet - some swearing this was the case? Of course the rest of the antis went along with their so called (now proved to be very mistaken, whether intentionally or otherwise) knowledge. It was people like Alsabellla that perpetuated and promoted such myths. :suspect: :suspect: :suspect:

I know Kate and Gerry believe that Madeleine was taken from PDL to Tarifa by road and then across to Africa by the ferry from Tarifa in Southern Spain. (It is a straight road from PDL to Tarifa and takes around 5/6 hours)

Is it ok to post pictures of Madeleine that were released by her parents, etc. here? Sometimes I look at them for a timeline, etc. And frankly, other times to remind me that there is a missing little girl involved in this mess.

One comment about the floor tiles. Can we verify that they are tiles which have been there since it was first constructed? Is there any other family witness evidence from before the Mccanns stayed in the apartment?
I am asking only because when a flat is redecorated here in Spain (renovation) very often a new floor is laid. It is cheap and easy and a popular way to keep the apartment looking new. Doors are always installed with space at he bottom to allow for this eventuality. Also if there had been a bloody footprint (!!???) on a wooden block floor (which is at odds with a new modern apartment) then the management would no doubt have intructed a new floor to be laid. I would want this confirmed before I am convinced it was lies.

The apartment has not had a revamp Rosemary and the pictures of the tiles were taken when the PJ said they had found blood. There is pictures of the floor complete with the tiles removed.

They were definitely tiles, there was no wooden flooring and they are still tiles.

Hi bluj, that should be OK, the only photos we worry about are those that have Sean and Amelie in them, we tend to pixelate their faces out, but if they are just of Madeleine and her family has released them to the press, this should not be a problem.
