a pitchforker who can see past their own nose re Gonzo
Here's a post from one of them who talks some sense

What truth could be found in a meeting that could not have been found through thousands of hours of work by worthy professionals, forensic scientists and labs with all their criminal investigation paraphernalia? What work? What has this forum actually made to find the truth? Did we uncover new evidence? Did we run lab tests? Did we interview witnesses? Did we hire private detectives? Did we dig up the dirt, or dams looking for a body. Is there anybody here who – at the very least – who actually helped on with the searches on the earlier days of this case? We dwelled and discussed behind our aliases and computers (and yes, bickered and fought and insulted each other, but that’s really part of the game, IMO) about a subject. We followed news, people, WUMs and came up with wild conspiracy theories. Also some more plausible theories. But from there to actually believing we did some ‘work’ to find the truth or actually helped in the investigation is a logical step that cannot be taken. A little humbleness would probably be most welcome. The fact that (apparently) a seasoned police officer, a criminal investigator at the top of his game actually comes here and thanks everybody for their ‘work’ is – for me – reason enough to be very suspicious. This case (Madelein's disappearance) stinks. It is weird and the whole stinking story is very badly told (or perhaps very badly investigated, I don’t know). But to assume that any of us amateurs here actually ‘helped’ on anything of the investigation is being naïf at the very least. That the 3As has actually helped to keep some awareness on the case, well OK, granted. I’m not really sure of the impacts on the ‘outside world’ of this forum. But that’s it. Not for a glimpse of a second anything here ‘helped’ to advance the investigation. Nothing here came closer to ‘discovering the truth’. There was no ‘work’ in terms of the investigation. We don’t even have full access to the complete files! Last time I checked, a couple of thousands of pages have not been made public. I’m sorry some of you may find these views offensive. When shutting out different opinions, you’re actually doing exactly the same thing you claim and accuse the written press of doing: being biased and one-sided. And in my view that’s sad. Cheers </td></tr></table> |

a pitchforker who can see past their own nose re Gonzo
Hi RealRhodes...I read this too on the 3A's. They have now locked the thread started by the so called Amaral. The reason given was many posters were putting Amaral off posting again because they questioned whether it was him. StinkySardine made several very good posts...plus asked several valid questions.
One poster (blossom) even dared to argue back with the Portuguese know it all Queen....Claudia79. It seems a few posters on the 3A's have Claudia sussed out at last.

that whole site is nothing but huge egos and master manipulators at work.
Why they think it's wrong to question if it IS Gonzo or not, but it's OK to slag off the parents and family of a real live, missing kid, not some charachter on an internet forum, is totally beyond me tbh.
Despicable lowlifes the lot of them and the sooner it ends the better.

You seem pretty much convinced you are right (obviously). Don't you even entertain the possibility that, given that you left so early in the investigation, your colleagues collected enough information to contradict your initial convictions? 2. Depending on the previous one: did you have full access to the full contents of the file even though you were removed from the case early on? 3. Are you, in fact stating, through actions and through your book (which I have not read), that your PJ colleagues are incompetent? And prosecutors? And instruction judge? 4. To your knowledge, is anyone on the PJ looking at the case? Thank you again. I can translate this if necessary. </td></tr></table> |

A question about the so called Amaral
Was the post made in good English, because I believe Amoral's English is not very good? And we all know that you cannot get a good translation from Portuguese to English via Babel (or the like).
So what was the post like? If in good English, does his wife speak and write fluently in English. If not, then why would a non English speaker bother to get a good translation of a post done, so that they can post on something like the 3A's. ALso, unless his wife is fluent, how would they even know what exactly is going on in the 3A's land.
