Ian Huntley’s lover Maxine Carr ‘becomes mother’

SOHAM schemer Maxine Carr has become a mother, reports claimed yesterday.
Carr, 34, who gave Ian Huntley an alibi after he murdered Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman, both ten, gave birth earlier this year.

It is thought the birth took place at her home, the location of which can't be made public because of a court order.

Carr served 21 months in prison for perverting justice. She lived with school caretaker Huntley when Holly and Jessica vanished in Soham, Cambs, in 2002.

Under her anonymity order, the identity of her baby and the child's father must also be kept secret. She has also been provided with police protection, all paid for by the taxpayer.

Huntley, 37, is serving life and constantly fears attacks from other lags.

Fellow inmate Damien Fowkes, 36, was given an extra 20-year sentence for slashing Huntley at Durham's Frankland Prison.
