There have already been high-level discussions between the Foreign Office and Portuguese officials to find a way of conducting such a review.

One plan is for a team of UK detectives - probably from Scotland Yard - to got to Portugal and pore over the police files.

One crucial exercise would be to do the mobile phone cell-site analysis that wasn't done.

And follow up reports of previous intruders into the holiday homes of other Brits, as recorded by Kate in her book.


Well that little titbit from Sky is very interesting.

It also says that while Teresa May is vaccilating over what to do, Cameron is taking a more personal interest.

This is all looking very good for a review to be done. I am encouraged.

Maybe the McCanns could offer their translated files to assist the British police as well.

Let see if Amaral is so eager to join in when the review is jointly run by the BRitish police.
