MADDY CASE MAY BE RE-OPENED BY THERESA MAY 184821_1
Maddy's case may be re-opened by new home secretary Theresa May

Sunday July 4,2010

By James Murray

HOME Secretary Theresa May has asked to meet Kate and Gerry McCann, signalling she intends to tell them she will order a new investigation into their missing daughter Madeleine.

Mrs May wrote to the McCanns last week asking them to come to the Home Office in what is being described as a “positive step” by department officials.

A senior Home Office source said: “The Home Secretary has already exchanged letters with Kate and Gerry about the case and will be meeting them shortly to discuss how the investigation is being taken forward. It would not be appropriate to pre-empt that meeting or give details of the work.”

A new team of detectives, most likely from Scotland Yard, could soon get the mammoth task of raking over all files from Portuguese detectives, police in Leicestershire and private investigators.

Since taking office, Mrs May has taken a close interest in the case. Her predecessor, Labour’s Alan Johnson, last March ordered a costing of a review of evidence and the outline of how a new probe would work into finding out what happened to Madeleine, then three, of Rothley, Leics, who vanished from Praia da Luz on the Algarve in May 2007.

Sources say that Mrs May felt Mr Johnson made the right decision and the internal report is almost complete.

Mr Johnson acted after Jim Gamble, head of the Child Online and Protection Centre, wrote a report for the Home Office analysing police investigations here and in Portugal.

His report, which has not been released publicly, outlines how a new approach could produce new leads.

Tony Bennett Today at 10:05 am

I have given this a separate thread.

I have this morning sent this e-mail to the Public Enquiries section of the Home Office (all correspondence to the Home Office is filtered through that section).

Lots of letters coming in on the same subject can make an impact.

I would recommend as many others as possible to send a smilar letter to

Dear Home Secretary,

I have read in the Sunday Express that you have exchanged letters with the McCanns and hope to meet them. The Express article also says that you are likely to order a new Scotland Yard investigation in addition to other ongoing investigations into what really happened to Madeleine McCann.

Could you please let me know in writing whether any such re-investigation will actively pursue the line of enquiry mentioned in the interim and final reports of the Portuguese Police that Madeleine may have died in the McCanns' apartment and her body hidden?

TB, you are beyond insanity: "Could you please let me know in writting whether any such re-investigation will actively pursue the line of enquiry mentioned in the interim and final reports of the Portuguese Police that Madeleine may have died in the McCanns´apartment and her body hidden?". What makes you wonder TB or think that you will receive a response about any re-investigation? You are nothing related to this family, you are nothing related to this case. The only purpose you have is to continue with you disgusting behaviour which we all know what it is. Even if, by any chance, you receive a reply, don´t expect that any positive aspect will be told to you (it will only be kept by those who are really interested in solve this case). Besides, there is no evidence of death, only in your disgusting / demented brain.

TB, you should be Carter Rucked, then sent to a mental institution.

MADDY CASE MAY BE RE-OPENED BY THERESA MAY Empty Re: MADDY CASE MAY BE RE-OPENED BY THERESA MAY

Post by Mulleena Mon Jul 05, 2010 1:05 am

Tony Bennett Today at 1:52 pmWell, the letters are getting longer
and more insistent. Here's another, from one of our members:

To: The Rt Hon.
The Home Secretary, Theresa May MP, PC.

Dear Home Secretary

I am
very concerned over an article that appears in today`s (July 4 2010)
Sunday Express which claims that you intend to meet with the parents of
Madeleine McCann following an exchange of correspondence with them. The
article also claims that there are intentions for a New Scotland Yard
enquiry.

Firstly, may I bring to your attention the
fact that the McCanns are two of the the three prime suspects in this
case and that there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that Madeleine
McCann was abducted, but yet there is much evidence to contrary.

I am
fully aware that the case was shelved and that 'arguido' statuses were
lifted, but we are also told that this was 'not a declaration of
innocence', as reported in the UK media. I find the activities of the
Home Secretary meeting with the suspects in a case highly inappropriate.

Also, there are many other children and adults
missing from the UK. It is very concerning that the Madeleine McCann
case seems to have been singled out and is in receipt of preferential
treatment from the government. Is there a reason for this? Please let me
know.

Secondly, I am equally concerned about your
intention to order a New Scotland Yard investigation, not merely because
of the fact that the costs will be met by the taxpayer, but also
because of the immense public interest in the case, the failure of the
UK media to report fairly on the case and the fact that we are
constantly being fed the abduction theory when we know too well that
there is no evidence of the alleged abduction, a theory that was proven
as virtually impossible by the Portuguese police.

Contrary
to this, we have the thesis of the Portuguese police which points to
the death of Madeleine in her parents apartment, a theory which is
supported by much evidence which can be found in the original police
files, now made public and available on the internet.

Please
confirm that any new enquiry willl focus on all possibilities including
abduction and also the theory as reported in the interim and final
statements of the Portuguese Police, which states that Madeleine may
have died in the McCanns' apartment.

In the
interest of the general public, those who may have donated to the
McCanns fund, and those who had signed the petitions for both a review
of the role of the Leicestershire police in this case and an official
re-opening of the case in Portugal, could I please ask that you review
the attached correspondence which was originally submitted to Gordon
Brown in support of the former petition and let me know whether or not
it is now possible, since the new investigation would be addressed by
British police, that there could be a review of the role of
Leicestershire police, and also an investigation into Dr David Payne
following the allegations against him in the statements of the Drs
Gaspar (inc. in attachment).

I assume that both issues
would be dealt with under the new enquiry if that enquiry was to be
fair and unbiased. If there is to be no investigation into these two
points, please would you explain fully why you feel that no
investigation would be necessary.

Given
the magnitude of this case and the immense public interest, despite the
cost, I would strongly recommend a full and proper public enquiry.

To
summarise:

1. It is highly
innappropriate for the Home Secretary to be in any correspondence with
the suspects in a case

2. Madeleine McCann is not
the UK`s only missing child - why the preferential treatment?

3. Any
review of the case should follow all lines of enquiry including and
especially that of the official police reports

4.
Since there is great public interest and concern, any enquiry should be a
full public enquiry

5. The UK Media should be
reporting fairly on this case

6. Now that there is a
possible investigation into this case by the British police, I assume
that Leicestershire Police and Dr David Payne will be properly
investigated.

I look forward to your
response to all my points in the near future

Yours
sincerely

The above is obviously bennetts handiwork, one can only wonder at the reasons he does not want this little girl found.

Kate And Gerry McCann To Meet Theresa May

5:01pm UK, Sunday July 04, 2010

Sarah Gordon, Sky News Online
Home secretary Theresa May will meet with Kate and Gerry McCann to discuss how the search for their daughter Madeleine is progressing.

MADDY CASE MAY BE RE-OPENED BY THERESA MAY 15566317

Madeleine McCann has been missing since 2007

The Home Office announced the meeting will take place following an exchange of letters between Mrs May and the McCanns.
Madeleine's parents requested to see the home secretary and details of the meeting are being confirmed, a Home Office spokeman said.
The Leicestershire couple, whose daughter went missing from their holiday apartment in the Algarve, want a review of all the information in the hands of British and Portuguese authorities.
Mrs May's interest in the case follows an internal review of evidence ordered by former Labour Home Secretary Alan Johnson last year.
Mr Johnson wanted an outline of how a new investigation into Madeleine's disappearance might work.

MADDY CASE MAY BE RE-OPENED BY THERESA MAY 15623418

The McCanns are continuing the search for their daughter with private invetigators

The report is understood to be almost complete and there is speculation that a fresh probe into the case could be ordered.
However, the Metropolitan Police have said there are no plans to reopen the investigation.
Madeleine was nearly four when she went missing in Praia da Luz in Portugal on May 3, 2007, while her parents dined with friends nearby.
Mr and Mrs McCann were originally named as arguidos - or suspects - by Portuguese police and a senior officer involved in the inquiry wrote a damning book about the case.
But, since their arguido status was lifted, the McCanns have campaigned to keep the search for their daughter going.
Although both Portuguese and British police have closed their investigations, money raised by the The Madeleiene Foundation has been put towards hiring private investigators to continue the search.

I wonder if bennett knows he's paying for the private detectives?!!

It beggars belief that anyone would want to stop any further investigation. If Madeleine was not abducted, then a further investigation could show this. IF the original Portuguese led investigation was run properly and exhaustively, then a further investigation would reinforce this.

However by making claims that the original investigation and final report suggested that Madeleine died in the apartment, they lose all credibility to start with, as the final report does not say that.

Not wanting to undertake further investigations really only suggests that the truth must not be found. The British police will not MAKE UP THE RESULTS of an investigation. If the truth is able to be found, they will find it. Why would anyone want to stop the search for the truth? The cost is not the reason, as the authors of these letters do not care how much taxpayer money is spent on answering pathetic FOI requests and other pathetic letters. It makes me laugh that these people are most likely on some form of govt handout, yet complain about wasting govt money.

And worse, imagine suggesting to the authorites that they should investigate the Leic police and David Payne. Much more poignant would be an investigation into Amaral and his associates. The thing is, if there is further investigations, then they will focus on where the evidence leads, that is what police do. And if that leads towards an abduction, than that is what will be investigated. And if there is no evidence for accidental death, or murder, or a cover up etc, then the police cannot investigate it. I would have thought that this would be obvious to even those morons.

BTW, continuously saying that the final report states that Madeleine died in the apartment does not actually change what is written in the report. It still does not say that.

Nor does wishing it to be true.

The final report did not say that Madeleine died in the apartment. It does say there is no evidence to support that she died in the apartment, or she was abducted, or even if she is alive or dead, although dead seems more likely. But it does not say 'dead in the apartment'. It says simply 'dead' and was written month later and after no confirmed sightings, and this is a logical conclusion to make. There is no suggestion in the report as to how, when or where she died. To say otherwise is at best wishful thinking, in reality to say otherwise is a pack of lies. A cursory read by any worthwhile detective will confirm this, so there is no point writing such utter BS and sending to the policiticians.

With any luck, their names (the authors of the letters) will be forwarded to Leic police for investigations of harrassment and stalking against the McCanns, to see if they are already known to the police.

I don't want to pour cold water on this but how can Theresa May open a new investigation? We haven't had an old one in the UK. That doesn't sound right or likely.

I hope this is a mix up and she is saying she intends to carry on with the review of this case ordered by the previous home Secretary.

A review is what is needed and not promises that will come to nothing, an urgent review is needed with the cold case detective team that investigated the disappearance of Shannon Matthews, which was promised, is what we need, not more prevarication, there has already been too much of that already.

Rosie

I totally agree. A full review of the case is definitely the way to go. There is a great deal of information that the McCanns investigators can give to the police for the review. Information that was ignored by the PJ.

Plus, and very importantly, the British police have the full details that they supplied to the PJ regarding British paedophiles, and one would assume they would also have access to the resulting investigations from that information, remembering that this information was kept from the public files. I wonder has any of this ever been reviewed by anyone other than PJ.

That is just one reason why it needs to be reviewed.
