I hope he does. He will lose, and the Fund will grow rich. He will go bankruptcy. There is literally no way, none, short of the McCanns confessing and leading them to Madeleine's body and being convicted at trial, that will allow Amaral to win a libel suit in British court. Nothing. He truly has no defense.

And quite frankly, since we are never going to see a Portuguese investigation, a high-ranking Portuguese official, or an official, no-nonsense, Portuguese something state unequivocally that Amaral is wrong and the McCanns are innocent, in a way in which Amaral's cronies and political allies can't twist it, it would be nice to actually see a British paper tear him and it apart.

I agree with you. Amaral will go for libel in Britain, in fact, it is doubtful that even if a publisher took the book that it would ever see sale in Britain, due to an injunction. After all, we already know what will be in the book, so an injunction would be very easy to get.
