My friends, here is information about the new book of Amaral:
Gonçalo Amaral launches «The British gag - the story of a forbidden book», of Gonçalo Amaral and edited by the publisher Planeta (Planet), will be presented by José Adelino Maltez in the next friday (December 11 2009), around 18h30 pm, at the bookshop Ler Devagar - Lx Factory (Read Slow - Lx Factory), in Lisbon. Between the first and last pages, the intricacies of the ban on the publishing the work «Maddie - the truth of lie».

Jose Adelino Maltez has his own website. He appears to be a professor of political science and a scholar on international affairs and the Portuguese republic.

No didn't hear of him before, but I'm not the best informed person, you know. Also, and I believe this is general, people linked to the law business tend to have very well founded reasons to demonstrate whatever they want to demonstrate.
I know that McCanns lawyer is going to be there, buy a book and request for an autograph. I'm deeply sorry that I left her alone, as the last train to come home leaves at 19:30 and I couldn't stay there.

It all started with the warmest, strongest and longest hug I ever received, from their lawyer (she's a small lady!). Then I asked permission to hug them as well (gosh, they are tall!) which they agreed. Then I moved on and have been with other reporters, helping them to translate the portuguese press. Sorry, lost their contact later.
And outside yes, I met Martin, went to talk to him (he is taller and handsome, very different from what we see on tv), he was very very sympathetic and professional.

Maria, you are the best! I have to say that Keir Simmons is more my cup of tea. It sounds like Isabel Duarte is really moved by the case. She knows that her countrymen have been stirred up against the McCanns and that they are wrong, and have been taken in by a con-man and a fraud (Amaral)... no wonder it upsets her so much. I am sure it must have meant so much to the McCanns and her to have your presence there. Bravo!
