Crippled because twelve thousand euros of drug
James Ross owed money from trafficking hashish, John Maclean. Cut off his five fingers and an ear in 13 days of abduction

October 19 th vote 2010N (6) Comments (3): Henrique Machado / João Mira Godinho

While the body of James Ross was searched for in the background and on the banks of the Santa Clara dam by divers from the police, on the second day of searching, the English kidnapped in the Algarve last week gave sign of life - against all evidence collected by PJ , which pointed towards murder.

Was found in the middle of the road in Alfontes near Boliqueime, Loule, by Carlos Pereira. "He came to stagger and asked me to stop, with arms in the air. He had no left ear, he was two fingers on his left hand, a foot and two on the other. He had a leg wound."

Marks of 13 days of torture, for a debt of 12 thousand euros from trafficking in hashish, which was John Ross Maclean - one of four British captors who are already in jail, according to the CM moved yesterday firsthand. The Englishman had been threatened by a group of compatriots in England, the day they raided his home, and on October 5, was attracted to the Algarve, with Maclean to promise you that, if it helped address a plantation cannabis in our country, could pay off some debt. He landed in Faro at 21.00 and was promptly kidnapped.

Besides Maclean, PJ arrested Terrence Macgurk, Calum Macleod and Ronnie Rose, Friday, in the belief that they had murdered the victim. But yesterday, it was liberated by other accomplices still at large, in a house in the area where he was tortured and mutilated for not paying the debt. Hours is for the arrest of more suspects.

The work of PJ and news of CM on the four kidnappers who are already in jail on suspicion of having killed the victim after he was found the Mercedes group, burned at the dam, have meant that the loose elements "to frighten" admit to sources close to the process while the Briton was released shortly after the newspaper has arrived on newsstands.

SILENCE FOR FEAR OF THE VICTIM CAN LEAD TO THE RELEASE OF RAPTOR 4

James Ross's testimony is now crucial to acknowledge any of his captors - the four already in prison or more. The British will have to make a positive recognition of all but the Judicial Police is concerned that the victim is now shut, claiming not recognize anyone. This is because Ross and family have been threatened with death several times, including when they raided the home of Manchester with knives in August for failing to pay 12,000 euros of debt linked to the sale of hashish. The Englishman now fears reprisal from the network elements of trafficking that are on the loose. One of the measures now being considered by the trial relates to the personal safety of the victim - who yesterday afternoon was transferred to the Hospital of St. Joseph Faro, Lisbon, after the kidnappers cut him having five fingers and an ear for 13 days of captivity in the Algarve.

"Is stuck in a cage and it broke HAVE ARMS"

Two days after her husband had been abducted from 16h00 7 days, Donna Ross received a call that the Judicial Police has identified as having been made from a phone booth at Forum Montijo. Across the line, the wife of the victim knew the voice of John Maclean, and Terrence Macgurk and Calum Macleod were at his side: the second raptor, James Ross was wedged into a cage in the woods, unconscious and it had already broken legs, arms, feet, ankles and ribs.

There are already two days that Donna lived in panic with their children at home near Manchester, to fear for her husband's life, but John Maclean finished his phone call informing her that her husband would be saved and return home after curing, if she did not alert the police. Otherwise, James Ross would be executed.

This conversation was heard by the British police, in conjunction with the Judiciary, which kept close watch to the four kidnappers known until last Friday, the 15th, when the four arrests were made. The group is moving in the Algarve and the passage by Montijo, day 7, is related to the fact that Maclean, ringleader of the network, have there home. The four kidnappers have not 'led' the PJ to the victim, so that the researchers considered his death.

Throughout the day, inspectors could not do much more than looking outside and wait. Without court approval, could not enter the property where the state is presumed to have been abducted and subjected to torture a 28 year old female that appeared Monday on the outskirts of Boliqueime asking for help.

Everything indicates that James Ross was captive in this house for 13 days at the hands of four British residents in the Algarve.

The neighbors were not aware of anything, but also said that moving the house is strange for a long time, like the mysterious way in and out of there people who can never be known

The house remains under surveillance by police, is empty. There watchdogs and outside all you see is a blanket, some toys and a child's portfolio.

Just this Wednesday, after having to take the search warrant is that it may seek judicial evidence of foul play. The Scot, who cut off an ear and some fingers and toes, have been kidnapped by a debt linked to trafficking in hashish. A debt of thousands of euros.

Besides the surveillance on the house, the Judiciary has developed other measures. Despite the four main suspects in the kidnapping were arrested since Friday, everything indicates that there will be more involved. Neighbors no strangers, speak in a constant "pass through" of high displacement cars at home.

The authorities investigating the disappearance of Scots from May to October, when the family gave the alarm, came to admit that he had been killed when the Mercedes found burnt in the dam of Santa Clara. A day after starting the search with divers, the young appears to ask for help outside of Boliqueime. Everything indicates that it was liberated by elements of the gang are still at large and unidentified.

Now, what's weird about this? Looks like one more sad case of drug trafficking in Algarve. However, something called my attention on the news yesterday (last video from SIC): They say:'From the outside, the house looks empty, no dogs, except for a blanket, some toys and a bag. A blanket? TOYS?

Alfontes/Boliqueime are some 70+km east from Luz. The neighbours of that house are brits (scots, by the looks of it), the victim is a scot, so are the 4 arrested people. Again, drugs and 'toys'.

And the ringleader lives in Montijo (near Lisbon)...

I think that we should call the PI's attention to this, I sincerely do.

Weird, coincidencies and other puzzling things Empty Weird...

Post by maria Fri Oct 22, 2010 6:11 am

Thanks Cats.

Weird is ... that a search warrant for a house in Algarve where there are suspicions of a crime having been committed is requested from a judge in ... Lisbon.

Weird is ... that PJ, who made that puzzling request, blames the judge for not being able to enter and search the house ...

But they will now, the Lisbon judge answered that he could not issue such warrant to be applied in Algarve, sent the request to another court in Loulé and the judge there issued the warrant.

I wonder ... why did PJ send the request to Lisbon in first place?

Another one, picked up from another thread, Policia Judiciária and Madeleine, I think.

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/sunday-heraldsun/jacinta-rees-murdered-covered-up-by-portugal-police/story-e6frf92f-1225942731759

One theory about Jacinta's death was that she found out something that cost her life.

The area where she lived is a trafficking route from North Africa and the Middle East for the illegal trade in drugs - mostly hashish - and also in stolen children.

The village of Sao Bras de Alportel is 30km from the resort of Praia de Luz where British child Maddy McCann disappeared.

Her family said child smuggling was an issue Jacinta was concerned about and might have spoken up about.

"Jacinta may have stumbled across something," brother Cameron said.

"She left a note for someone saying she was leaving and she did not know how things would work out and asked that they forgive her, but the police construed it as a suicide note," he said.

"It wasn't a suicide note - she was scared of something.

"Jacinta may have stumbled across something."

That was one year after Madeleine disappeared.

It is said in the paper that Jacinta died in April 2008. By then, Amaral was no longer in PJ, so for the 'coverup' he cannot be acountable, officially at least.

But the point is that she was worried about 'child smuggling' and she 'may have spoken out'.

São Brás de Alportel is some 30km east (towards Spain) from Alfontes/Boliqueime were this young drug dealer was tortured at a house where, at the yard outside, there were toys, a (blue) blanket and a children's bag ( first 'case' of this thread)

Weird, coincidencies and other puzzling things Empty Jacinta Rees

Post by Rosie Sat Oct 30, 2010 7:28 pm

Thank you Maria for bringing our attention to this, we found it on JATYK also and think it is worth repeating the whole story on here, because coupled with what you have reported about the other story, it seems there is MORE than reasonable doubt for Kate and Gerry McCann and their private dectectives and Jim Gamble of "CEOP" to believe that Madeleine was indeed abducted by traffickers of "STOLEN CHILDREN" and they have every reason to believe Madeleine is still very much alive somewhere.

From JATYK
Melbourne woman Jacinta Rees died after she was hit four times in the head with an axe. Source: Supplied

A MELBOURNE woman was murdered in Portugal and her death covered up by police there, a Sunday Herald Sun investigation has found.

Former international model and fashion executive Jacinta Rees was hacked to death with an axe at her cottage in the Algarve, in southern Portugal, two years ago.

In a sequence of events chillingly similar to the death of Britt Lapthorne, local police claim the death was a suicide - despite a coronial examination in Australia finding she died of extensive injuries caused by repeated blows with an axe and evidence of defensive wounds on her arms and legs.

Family members have been investigating the mystery of her killing ever since. They say they have received little help from the Australian Government.

Portuguese authorities contacted by the Sunday Herald Sun would not provide any information.

The family claims consular officials botched its initial dealings with the Portuguese and have abandoned the family in its search for the truth.

"All we want is to know the truth about what happened to her. She was our sister and our parents' child - she deserves better than this," said Jacinta's brother, Cameron.

Jacinta died in April 2008, in the courtyard of her home at Sao Bras de Alportel, near the city of Faro.

Portuguese police told local reporters her death was an accident, then said it was suicide.

But a Victorian Coroners' report says she died from "blunt force injury to the left side of the head".

"This injury pattern with trauma to both head and the left arm raises serious concerns. Further investigations are being undertaken via the Victorian Police Department's homicide squad," it concludes.

An initial Portuguese autopsy report also suggests Jacinta's death was a murder.

"There are signs highly probable of defense being the elements of the autopsy suggestive of homicide with data that favour extreme violence highly difficult to attribute to the self ... ," a translation reads.

Despite those reports, the Portuguese police closed the investigation and passed the case on to the Interior Ministry as a diplomatic matter.

Police spokesman Comandante Guerriero, of the GNR - the Portuguese national police - told a local newspaper "There is no suspicion of murder" and that there was no suspicion of robbery or any other crime.

Mystery surrounds the case. Locals were reticent to speak about it.

Did she know too much?

The Rees family said they felt let down by the Federal Government.

They said the Lapthorne family and the victims of the Kokoda air crash were given appropriate help and compassion while they had received little help.

The family had to pay for the repatriation of Jacinta's body and was eventually reimbursed by the Government.

"We were contacted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in April 2008 to say that Jacinta had passed away. We were told she had committed suicide," Cameron's wife, Louise, said.

"It took us a month to bring her home. It was a while before her body arrived home."

Two days before bringing Jacinta home, the Rees family asked the Victorian Coroner to do an autopsy.

"The Coroner agreed and there was a DNA test done first which identified the remains as Jacinta," Louise said.

"At the start of the autopsy, the Coroners' office called in the homicide squad.

"Her injuries were so apparent and appalling - it was obvious she had been brutally murdered.

"It clearly was not a suicide."

Government 'abandoned us'

The Portuguese police had said she died from a self-inflicted wound to the forehead and there were no signs of attack or defence.

"But Jacinta's skull had been caved in with an axe. She clearly had defensive wounds also.

"Her elbow had been shattered, her knee was damaged and there were four separate wounds to her head - each of which could have killed her.

"She suffered a horrendous death and she most certainly fought for her life.

"The GNR determined this was a suicide and our embassy concurred.

"To this day, no one has given us an answer as to what happened to Jacinta. We've sent off letters to heaps of people in positions of influence. No one's interested, absolutely no one," she said.

The family received the Portuguese Assistant Prosecutor's report into Jacinta's death in December 2009 - almost two years after her death.

They have been quoted up to $19,000 to get it translated into English. The Federal Government has refused to help.

The family said DFAT's mismanagement of the case had cost it financially and caused much heartache.

"Despite all the facts, DFAT has never acknowledged Jacinta's death as a murder," Louise said.

"It was going to cost $4000 each to send Cam and his brother Phil to Portugal and then another $15,000 to bring Jacinta home.

"We based our decision not to go to Portugal on the embassy's advice; we decided we couldn't afford for Cam to go and there was nothing we could do anyway.

"Had we known that Jacinta had been murdered, or at the very least that her death was suspicious, we would definitely have found the money for Cam to go.

"We based our decision not to go to Portugal on the embassy's advice. We trusted their information. But as the weeks went by and we received more unofficial information it was clear the embassy hadn't looked into this properly, they had just acquiesced to what the Portuguese police had told them.

"The AFP was not advised Jacinta had passed away and there's no AFP presence in Portugal."

Along the way the funeral director would not release the body because it had not been officially identified.

"We phoned DFAT and were told they would take care of it. But we found out later they didn't identify her, they just gave some sort of authority to release the body," Louise said.

"Apart from the trauma and heartache, the financial impact on the family has been gruelling. Sorting out Jacinta's affairs meant Cam wasn't working and we had to cash in his long service leave to be able to afford to bring her home.

"We didn't qualify for victims of crime compensation in Australia because the crime occurred in Portugal and we didn't qualify for a similar scheme in Portugal because we are Australians.

"We have been impacted by a murder in a foreign country we've never visited committed by a person we do not know.

"We watched as tragically, nine Australians were killed in the Kokoda plane crash. Our Government flew them home.

"When Britt Lapthorne disappeared Kevin Rudd said 'we will leave no stone unturned'.

"It took us 24 days to bring Jacinta home. We had no idea what we were doing, we did it on our own and we had to pay for it.

"When loved ones die, the pain and grief is difficult enough, but the murder of a loved one is almost too much to bear. Our trauma is as much about the fact the Government abandoned us and we've been left to pick up the emotional, psychological and financial pieces.

"We were visited by DFAT officials eight months after Jacinta died, but we felt we were just being 'handled'. We have never had a condolence message from either the Australian or the Portuguese government."

I want to apologise to all Portuguese citizens, I know that the vast majority is good and decent, but I have to say your Justice and judicial systems appear more than a little corrupt.

Over the years on this forum We (I) have repeatedly pointed to Goncalo Amaral and the links that I have said that link him with drugs and the amount of people in the Joana and Leonor Cipriano case and drugs linking to those in the media and press like Felicia Cabrita, the evidence of my posts are on this forum. I have repeatedly been told by people on here that I was wrong, that it could not be etc etc More sinister I have been threatened by email to shut up and once had a series of threats to me through our blog. This convinced me further that I was right, that there is a link between these drugs and the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. I also think that this link pulls in the involvement of Raymond Hewlett. I think he *may* have been directly involved in the abduction of Madeleine, although not for himself. I do believe that he, with his very shady past was forced/blackmailed to abducting this child, he may not have even wanted to do so.

Now we have this report, I believe this is a direct link to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. But what of Goncalo Amaral? He is untouchable in Portugal it seems.

I believe because we relented on the pressure of Amaral, the "judge" (a friend of Amaral's) who lifted the ban on Amaral's libellous book, felt able to do so because Madeleine had slipped from the headlines and her profile has been downgraded. To all those that accuse us on this forum of stoking the fire and that we are making it worse for Madeleine and her parents, "no it is you that is wrong". We let up in our pressure and immediately the liberties start again and Amaral is getting away with breaking the law.

To the Portuguese Government and the UK Government, here is a direct link to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, get off your fat idle backsides, get off the bloody fence and do something about it.

The overriding question to me in this country is:

"Why are those prominent in this country and in Portugal, who appear to affiliate themselves with Goncalo Amaral, who will do and say anything to make people think that Madeleine is dead and that she died somehow by her parents hand? - WHY?" I am not just talking about Tony Bennett, whom I actually think is a mentally ill attention seeking sad and pathetic excuse for a man. I am pointing to people like Joana Morais, Duarte Levy, Paulo Reis and an assortment of others who appear to have links with paedophilia, that regularly appear on message boards concerning these people. Why are they so desperate to have Madeleine dead? What about Claudia79, and her friend Alsabella, for years, since the very disappearance of Madeleine, before anyone knew anything, these two (who later were discovered to have direct personal links with the detective in charge of the Madeleine investigation - Goncalo Amaral) were most vocal that Madeleine had died and her parents did it. They even told blatant lies, which we exposed, one being, the out and out lie about the wooden floor in apartment 5a which NEVER was. Why would they say this was so when they knew it was NOT? Who was behind these Portuguese posters that have posted so many lies until they confused and distorted the truth in peoples minds in the UK?

I said it then and I'll say it again now, I have reason to believe that Claudia79 and Alsabella (with the many different IDs) were actively employed to spread a programme of disinformation. They are still doing it to this day, trust them at your peril.
I think the UK has been the target of a programme of disinformation, whether this was a concerted effort of some in the Portuguese police and judiciary, or the programme of the abduction ring and traffickers themselves remains to be seen, but it was deliberate, as disinformation actually is.

Thanks Rosie! (You have also answered my question to you on the other thread about why you believe Madeleine is still alive)
Did you also read the Algarve Resident report on Jacinta today that I put up, in which it says she was involved in a car accident 2 days before her murder........
There is enough material in this Jacinta case to blow things wide open..

And the ringleader lives in Montijo (near Lisbon)...

From my first post.

Yesterday or the day before, not sure, at his house, it was uncovered the largest hashish factory ever discovered in Europe, alongside a plantation.

The figures transmitted, however, sounded weird to me. They, the media, say that the gang had 'earnings' of about 20.000 euro a month???... This could be from the plantation, as it seemed quite small to me. But the factory, being that big, was it only 'fed' by the plantation?

There is definitely something here, here is the link that the authorities wanted kept quiet and but for the insistence of Jacinta Rees family, this particular link would have stayed hidden in obscurity.

WHY? Would the Portuguese police say this was suicide when it was obviously a murder? And a brutal murder too.
Something else here regarding the "car accident" I seem to remember a car accident where Portuguese lawyers were killed and these lawyers were actively and openly questioning the Portuguese judicial and judiciary systems and after that, during the Madeleine investigation, a policeman was killed in his car, which was put down as an accident, this may have been an accident (it is important not to try and tie everything together as having sinister meaning - I am aware of that) however, the reason I mention it is, because when we on our blog discovered the death of this Policia Judiciaria detective, we put up condolences to the family, but the very strange this is, that the blog of Claudia79, the very blog dedicated (she says) to the PJ "proud of the PJ" NEVER even mentioned the much publicised death of this policeman, why? It was no over sight, she just did not think to put it up. Now this points to three questions; 1) Was Claudia's blog only in existence to help perpetuate the myth that Madeleine was harmed by her parents?
2) Was the "Proud of the PJ" blog in existence only to help Goncalo Amaral?
3) In so believing, was the untimely tragic death of this officer just not news and of no consequence?

if so then this blows out of the water why that particular blog is in existence, it is not really for any of the PJ, so Claudia's pride is false, it is just there to spread disinformation to put people off from the truth of what really happened to Madeleine and where she may be today.

Yet more evidence emerges to point to the fact that Goncalo Amaral and his friend Ricardo Paiva should be brought in and officially questioned - yet still we see absolutely nothing done.

One thing I have always said, that if the Portuguese police and those of a shady nature in the Portuguese justice system think they can keep this secret, they are discovering they cannot, because the truth ALWAYS outs in the end.

I believe that Goncalo Amaral believes this also, which is the real reason why his appearance is as it is.

Beware Goncalo Amaral your sins are now finding you out and further, they will continue to do so!

Rosemary, I have not yet seen the link but I will do so, I think as you say, there is much here that should in normal circumstances that should re-open the Madeleine McCann investigation, we live and hope.
Just remember though, something very soon is going to happen that the Portuguese police and judiciary will just be totally unable to ignore and they will be forced to act.

It worries me that they will try and use that car "accident" to cover up why Jacinter sustained such awful head injuries.

Let's just say this (it may step up the pressure)...

We probably all think that Jacinter Rees discovered something about Madeleine McCann and was murdered to stop her going to the authorities, or from speaking to the McCanns and their investigators.

She was brutally murdered, probably with an axe, no matter how hard they try, the Portuguese authorities cannot make this look like an accident or a suicide. People just do not start hitting themselves over the head with an axe to commit suicide and neither do they sustain defensive wounds on their own arms and legs, trying to stop themselves hitting their own head with an axe. Come on PJ, pull the other one, it's got bells on.

Anyone else notice the very tentative link with the "Australian sounding accent" in the bar in Barcelona?

This may be something or nothing, but somethng is buried here.

No I had forgotten that aussie link. Could that woman have been the "go between" link in an aussie /european child smuggling ring? Odd coincidences are always interesting.......

I am still searching my files for the info I thought I had stored on the woman who was found "dead" in her garden, in or near Beja. I really want to see if this is the same person or another person, either way this is throwing up huge questions. I have reasons for being like this Vshocked when I see mention of *BEJA*.
