Re: In Aid of Forever Searching
The charity in question will not loose out this year however. We will be attending our other local car club's event, the Mersea Motor Madness, with some sort of stall, probably a tombola, and all takings will be donated to Forever Searching.
Re: In Aid of Forever Searching
We will be having a 'Forever Searching' stand with multi posters and flyers for missing and exploited children. Funds will be raised with a tombola myself and vee8 plus our families will be running.
We will be here.
We will be here.

Re: In Aid of Forever Searching
Thank you, ModNrodder, for all of your help to Forever Searching. I'm sure that Kathy and all of the other founders of Forever Searching will use wisely the funds.
I have a big admiration for Kathy (Co-Founder of FS) because all of the support she gave me on the time of my life that i needed the most. They are good people with good heart and they are doing all that they an to bring those children back home or at least to bring those cases to a closure.
I am not a member of Forever Searching, but i thank you, Mod, and also to you, Vee, for all the support that your are guiving to them.
Best regards.

I have just clicked on the above link to Forever Searching and looking around there have to say that I am surprised that they have allowed a post on their Guestbook page, which is not newly posted, with a direct link to missingmadeleine hate site. I hope it's ok to put it here, but I find this extremely distasteful that a charity for missing children is allowing this. Here is the wording of the post :
Date: 10/21/2009, 2:01 pm, GMT +2
Name: Can we trust anyone who claims to support missing children?
Number: 39
Clair Winkworth, 24, from Southampton (UK) is the mother of a 3-year-old girl and was a supporter of the McCanns in their search for their missing daughter Madeleine McCann yet on the 19th October 2009 Clair Winkworth was convicted by a jury at Southampton Crown Court of sexual offences against four children ranging in ages from 11 - 13.

Re: In Aid of Forever Searching
I wouldn't hold them responsible for comments in a guestbook, The comment itself is rediculous and childish, so shoots iteself down
Anyway I'm not concerned with pro or anti issues relating to FS. I am sure that all organisations have people with different views within them. But individual views are not the agenda of charities such as Forever Searching when promoting the plight of missing children is the priority everything else gets put into perspective.

Fair enough, but anyone looking at a site for missing children can click on that link and be taken to a place where Madeleine's parents are accused of all sorts of things. People directed there who previously will have had no idea what has been said and who will believe what they read. Forever Searching are responsible for what is on their site and could remove a post if they chose to, I still find it very disappointing that they have chosen to leave it there. The ones who run FS know the nastiness that has been headed towards Kate and Gerry and have gone down in my estimation in allowing that link to stay there. It may not affect ones of us who know what is true and what isn't but someone who has just come into this because they have a missing child or is looking at missing children and sees that on a charity page would not know it was ridiculous and childish and can be very much influenced. Just my opinion of course, but it doesn't sit well with me.

Re: In Aid of Forever Searching
Jackf, I think you should speak to FS themselves if you have a grievance. It isn't my responsibility or that of anyone contributing to or viewing this thread. However, I doubt FS would appreciate having to spend time dealing with Pro/Anti issues instead of raising money for a good cause.
This part of the forum is about missing children and this thread is about raising much needed funds for a missing and exploited childrens charity, not about the Madeleine case.
I dont help charities on conditions of some individual members, or visitors to their site, having certain views on this case.

Re: In Aid of Forever Searching
Got a load of bumper stickers, 'Missing Childrens Day' badges, multi posters (with Madeleine on), leaflets, wrapped up bears, so they look more appealing, we have a couple of wallpaper tables, tablecloth, sweets bucket for children who dont win a bear and we cant wait for Sunday.
