I can understand where you are coming from Alroy, it is so easy to accept that she wont ever be found and returned as time passes. But for me, time hasnt changed my view on this case. Others, yes, this one, no.
Can I explain? No idea. Like Vee, its just a strong gut feeling.

Agreed. For each it is a simple matter of faith. You either have it or you don't. Doesn't mean one person is right and another wrong, nor does it mean one person is better than another. We all have our beliefs and doubts. Me personally I have never doubted she is alive, and I can't see that changing, even for years to come. Kids have been safely recovered after far longer periods than this, so my hope does, indeed, spring eternal.

Alroy my friend, I understand your point of view, but, take a good look at the Shawn Hornbeck case: he was abducted in circumstances much like sweet Madeleine, his parents were accused wrongly of killing him, police said he was dead, and then, he was found alive and well.

Hubby and I were recently at a wedding near Loch lomond and attended mass the next morning in Balloch.
During the prayers for various intentions there was a special prayer for Madeleine and other children in need.
It was lovely to see and hear so many people still hoping and praying for her. x

That's nice to know, erngath. It is always good to hear that the majority of people are supporting the McCann's, rather that lying about them.

Let's not forget that last November, the McCanns said they were not even halfway through the police files....so I am sure that they may not even be finished now.

Its gone quiet again!! They seem to have bursts of publicity where we all think 'this is it, they have a definite lead, and it will be announced soon that she has been found. Then all of a sudden the excitement dies down, the press become silent again, and we are all left completely deflated, wondering what on earth happened to the brilliant lead. I still think that the answer lies in Praia da Luz. The investigators are wasting their time thinking of going to Australia, and the Victoria Beckham lookalike should be discarded. They should concentrate fully on that little town where it all started. If the low life that took Madeleine was working on his own then offering millions of £'s for a reward isn't going to flush him out, but if he was working with accomplices there may still be a chance that they might shop him. It is so frustrating, all the action of the last two weeks, and then nothing.

Rumour has it the Sunday Express could be interesting, though not so much as in about Madeleine, but more towards the floundation and it's stalking. I await with baited breath!

We have been here before in a quiet phase, only to learn later that it was far from quiet behind the scenes and that much is going on in the continuing search for Madeleine. They will not be telling us something until there is something they want us to know, or to help with. Look what happened to them last time they informed us and held that press conference, they were torn to shreds by people, simply because these people did not want to be proved wrong. These people are evil and they are filled with hate and rage which probably stems out of their own inadequacies and their own jealousy, towards a couple they do not know, have never spoken to and have never even met, yet they think they can judge them and because they do not want to be proved wrong, they do not want Madeleine found and they want her parents arrested and charged and found guilty of something they did not do. So these people watched that press conference, not in hope and anticipation that at last someone may have come forward who knows something about who helped abduct Madeleine, they watched it, scanning it, with a view of pulling it to pieces and ridiculing the former detectives, they watched it actually hoping that nothing was found and that no one would come forward with news about a live Madeleine - how sick is that?
they actually think they know better than the McCanns private detectives, who not only have over 60 years experience with serious crime, cases of abduction etc etc they are also in possession of all the facts and files, all expertly translated. These idiots, these buffoons like the stalkers Bennett and Debbie Butler, Grenville Green and his wife Helene, the idiots like Laffin, JJP and that stupid ignorant illiterate fool humpty bumpty and all the rest of the foul individuals, with cesspit pit sewer rat minds, they are just a laughable joke, but they really believe they know better than these detectives, what a joke!

I do hope so Rosie!! It is so important that Madeleine is found. If she isn't this whole two years + will have been in vain. I really do strongly feel that they must start at the beginning. As far as Bennet and his cronies are concerned - 'Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me'. I do so hope that the McCanns are strong enough to endure this latest barrage of abuse.

Madeleine will be found, her abductor will be known, but will it silence the ex 3as? IMO, no...we can only hope that embarrassment will make many shy away one by one, but the diehards of Laffin, Slumming, Bren, TB, Butler, Grenville & mrs, oh not forgetting Carly, somehow I feel they will still be digging the dirt.
Eventually they will stop.
TB will find another crusade to keep him at the top of the attention seeking ladder, I'm sure.

I don´t think we should forget that being Doctors as well as parents, Kate and Gerry will undoubtedly have their own professional opinions as to the state of mental health of TB. This may well have had a bearing on their actions so far.
