Just one simple question.

For those that still believe the McCann's are harbouring a terrible secret, upto and including murder, I have a simple question. Why scour the world looking for, and hiring, the best and most respected investigators money can buy? IF they truly had killed Madeleine, then the smart thing to do, once the arguido status was lifted, and they were cleared of any involvement, would be to stay quiet. Then, after a couple of months, they could make a heartrending statement that they had finally accepted that Madeleine was gone, and that they could no longer bear the strain of living in ever fading hope, so they were now winding up the search, and donating the remainder of the fund to children's charity. Privatly they could then sigh with relief that it was all over, and that they really had 'got away with it'. But no, first they announce they were hiring a crack team of American investigators, including former F.B.I. agents, and today they are recruting from retired British specialists. Not the smartest thing to do, if you really have something to hide? Double bluff? But they have already been publically cleared, so what would they have to gain? A dangerous game, unless, of course, they are truly innocent, and are determined to find Madeleine, whatever the cost?

We raised these same things a long time ago on the DX forum. And the answers were always that the McCanns had started something big and couldnt get out of it. But you know its all bullshit, because of course they could get out of it, exactly the way you say.

As the FBI profiler said, it is not possible for a couple (or a larger conspiracy) to keep their story straight over such a long time. They eventually slip up. He said that all of what happened with the McCanns (what Kate said, what Gerry did etc etc) was all normal within his experience with abductions and kidnappings, and he has considerable experience. He believed the McCanns were innocent of any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance, because he sees nothing that would show they are lying. And he would know.

But those demented morons (the rabid anti's) dismiss the obvious, like your very logical reasonable explanation and the FBI profilers obvious experience in such cases, and listen to the likes of the 3A's moderators and Vile. So there is no showing them the error of their ways. They are too far gone to understand that they are wrong, very very wrong. And more worrying, they think that there is nothing wrong with accusing innocent people of murdering their own child. These people have no moral compass. Society should be very very worried.

I think these heartless people are screwed up. It appears that they have made this tragic case and their forums/blogs and their evil rantings, into a sort of twisted hobby. Even when there is no news, they pick over detail after detail of this case like a bunch of vultures. Frankly, I think that if Madeleine was returned/found alive and the culprits successfully charged and prosecuted, which many of us still feel is possible, then I believe those lunatics would still be discussing new and bizzare theories, for years ahead - just so long as it involves her parents and they can continue to malign and libel them. :x :x :x

Hi All,

Just wanted to say how refreshing it is to hear level headed NORMAL people's perspective on this case. It's sooo irritating to me that they just don't get it! How is it possible that these people exist in our world? So heartless and vile and nasty beyond words. Uhhh, it sickens me. It really does. I just can't even imagine losing my daughter, and in such a manner as this. Do these b*****ds have no hearts? (Clearly this is a rhetorical question because we all know the answer to this).

Great news about the new British detectives on the case. Someone somewhere has got to come forward sooner or later.
