EU Commission President Barroso Assisted Portuguese Paedophiles ...JUDICIAL/STARTLING & WE MUST KEEP PRESSURE UP! Empty EU Commission President Barroso Assisted Portuguese Paedophiles ...JUDICIAL/STARTLING & WE MUST KEEP PRESSURE UP!

JOSE BARROSO, PRESIDENT OF THE EU COMMISSION

In this article from The Independent in 2003, the true story of how far paedophilia is controlled from inside Portugal's powerful elite is told. If those who govern the country are paedophiles out of control, that explains why the Police are doing nothing to help the Mccanns find Madeleiene, and why charges are being brought to silence the McCanns and try to make them go away.

The current head of the EU Commission, EU President Barroso was the Portuguese PM at the time and it was he that ordered an enquiry into the paedophilia that had come to light amongst Portugal's elite. However Portuguese child abuse experts say that he must have known all about the paedophilia going on before as they had told him often enough.....

From a report 'After the paedophile allegations were first published, Prime Minister Jose Manuel Durao Barroso ordered an investigation. Jorge Sampaio, the President and a Socialist Party leader, proclaimed, “The impunity which for decades on end has made this case a shame for us all will finally end ... Faced with the horror that so many children, who were entrusted to us to be educated and cared for, were victimised it is necessary to declare here that the guilty will be severely punished.”

He implored Portuguese citizens to trust the justice system saying, “We have to hope that our institutions work.”

However, a spokeswoman from Portugal’s Innocence in Danger charity said the organisation had been warning about child abuse for years in Portugal but there had been a virtual “media blackout”.

“It is no good President Sampaio and Parliament sounding off about the problem now and appearing to be knights in shining armour,” the spokeswoman continued. “They, like the police, must have known about the widespread abuse of children in Portuguese institutions for years. They have been warned often enough by charities such as ours but for reasons best known to themselves have remained silent.'

Gordon Brown Goes Quiet

I imagine that the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who offered to help the McCanns, must know that the Head of The EU Commission must be involved in covering up paedophilia. He seems not to be saying anything now the McCanns really need his help, and the Portuguese Paedophiles are really showing their strength - even able to muscle the Police into bringing nuts charges against the McCanns.

Is Brown now too joining the conspiracy of silence in EU governments about how far into government paedophilia goes, and how criminal gangs make millions from the trade in abducted children - many abducted to order by clients who have already seen their photographs?

News organisations also must know what is going on. They too seem not to have the courage to report what they must know to be the truth.

Europe's paeophiles know they are safe, with even the President of The EU Commission acting to help them in the past. With paedophile sympathisers at the very top of the EU, what chance do the McCanns have? No wonder Gordon Brown has now gone silent.

Meanwhile kids carry on getting abducted, few seen again. As for Madeleine and thousands like here, Barroso knows the truth, but does nothing.

LATEST ON PORTUGUESE POLICE COVER-UP - The official Portuguese police spokesman in the Madeleine McCann case, who resigned last weekend, has told friends he was 'unhappy' and 'exasperated' by leaks to Portuguese media by junior officers involved in the case. He also told a former colleague he was "always worried the evidence against the McCanns was weak". Chief Inspector Olegario Sousa said that the leaks were intended to push Kate and Gerry McCann into confessing they had killed their daughter. Sunday Telegraph 21.9.07.

The only question is how far up the chain of command does the cover up go.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

This is a eye opener!!!!!!!!!NOT think we already had an incline into this anyway. With top top top men and women covering up peados what chance do normal folk have??Aiming deluded questions and accusations at the missing child's parents solely for a confession and not for real investigative work is as i said in other posts of mine......a attempt to cover up and hide the sordid truth.

Perhaps we should start pressurising our government into forcing the EU to act? I have said repeatedly that a full independent public inquiry needs to be held into this case, but it looks like Portugal is just getting away with it.

If Portugal has nothing to hide why doesn't Barroso order this inquiry?

As I have been saying for the past year, in my opinion, something is wrong here and something sinister is being covered up.

I object when innocent child are being harmed and abducted and people do not want to admit it for fear of hurting their tourist industry and so should every decent human being.

The more I hear about all this, the more I fear for children in Portugal and the more I think that Kate and Gerry McCann were set up!

I agree, and maybe it is time for a letter writing campaign to your MP's. Not sure about your MEP's but it might be worthwhile.

But before doing that, someone needs to find out what your Child protection societies are doing and co-ordinate with them. There will be multiple organisations of this sort out there, and I would go to the most high profile one to find out how to help. The may already be campaiging against the laws in Portugal, and the discrepancies within the EU countries.

And look at the news today (Skynews) where one of your child protection groups has accused the British Govt of being soft on paedophilia commited abroad by British citizens. That definitely needs to be followed up. We are very tough on that here, and we even got a mention on British Skynews for the numbers of arrests of paedophiles committing crimes overseas.

And I do not believe for one minute that Gordon Brown does nothing about this but before he can do anything, he must have absolute proof, and he needs to get together with a few other countries to put pressure on the EU to increase the protection afforded to children. Maybe more pressure in Britain will get them to act.

Diane,

you know something.you may be right, infact i think you are.I don't think a email or hand written letter to a local mp whom i actually chat very well with here.He usually comes to the club for any community things we do etc and as been a regular visitor to the street parties i do.He as helped a lot of people here in the valleys and always asks people to cal him or ask him for any help advice etc regarding anything. Im not sure he would have much power over the bigger guys but certainly would be able to point me in the right direction.

I think the British government needs to get involved in this case...if only to reassure the British public that they are exploring every avenue of interest to this abduction.Even if it involves the goings on in other governments. And i also think a letter to the investigators wouldn't go a miss either.

EU Commission President Barroso Assisted Portuguese Paedophiles ...JUDICIAL/STARTLING & WE MUST KEEP PRESSURE UP! Empty Re: EU Commission President Barroso Assisted Portuguese Paedophiles ...JUDICIAL/STARTLING & WE MUST KEEP PRESSURE UP!

Post by maria Tue Aug 19, 2008 12:35 am

I'm in a terrible mood today, I fear my patriotism will not be strong enough to cope.

The initial post of this thread should enlighten/be read at the light of what I have been saying about the political bit of the Casa Pia process.

Leaving that aside, the Casa Pia problem was personally reported to the President Ramalho Eanes and the then secretary for children welfare (can't recall her name) by several teenagers not necessarily victims, more than fifteen years before this 'Durão inquiry', during a Presidential visit to Pina Manique's school . This act from Durão Barroso means really nothing, as the inquiry on paedophilia must be started by the Attorney General and he is independent from the executive power. The President of the Republic, however, can request from the AG to start that inquiry. So Durão Barroso was playing us all fools, the real intervention could have been from Jorge Sampaio -- fifteen years after being personally reported to another president of the republic. Durão's inquiry took place and gave nothing, as ex-president Ramalho Eanes couldn't recall anything and the lady cited above, after confirming the reports, realised that it had been long ago and she could only recall reports on 'mistreats' and that an internal inquiry took place at the time and the applicable measures were taken. Jorge Sampaio's intervention, yes, sparked something, although not much more than a mockery --the Casa Pia process.

Starting by EU. Don't expect much. After the Amber Alert adoption call from the McCanns EU parliament decided on the adoption on one european phone number as SOS for abductions. Then we have France not adopting it because 'it could very much increase the calls' (???!!!). Durão Barroso has no power to start any inquiry, if he doesn't even take the initiative of bringing the Amber Alert up to discussion! I know there is a commission there headed by his wife trying to deal with children safety or welfare, but she didn't produce much not even supported the McCanns. If you are to investigate this, her name is Margarida Sousa Uva.

Back to Portugal. Claire, I already commented this Independent article on another thread, but that's not the point. Nor are the concerns about laws or tourism, Rosie. The problem is
'a spokeswoman from Portugal’s Innocence in Danger charity said the organisation had been warning about child abuse for years in Portugal but there had been a virtual “media blackout”.'
(I for one never heard of them). This is not to protect the politicians but the paedophiles. Probably, not even that. It is a real lack of interest about your fellow human being. Talking to your MP? Fight against paedophilia does not buy votes in this country no matter your political colour. Afterall, we have a low criminality rate, very few children are missing, Madeleine is british and her parents as well and this unfortunate accident occurred at a british tourist resort in an area of the country where the british are becoming the majority and the british paedophiles are known, surveilled and well behaved. Of course
Kate and Gerry McCann were set up!
So, what is it to me? S***, do you want a better example than the 140 000 Gonc's book prints even if they are not selling that well now?

As I said the other day, something that can be done here is to write to the Attorney General, as the one currently in charge seems to be a reliable person, does NOT bend and has proved it several times and does not shut up when it comes to his duties/opinions, even if on the other side is the gov. This, about Madeleine. About the broader problem of paedophilia, he can't do much unless we have a concrete case for him to work on and from. Casa Pia, being already in court, is not a good case. Unless there are NEW reports addressed to him.

Yes Rosie,
a full independent public inquiry needs to be held into this case, but it looks like Portugal is just getting away with it.

I still have hope on the courts reopening in September and what the lawyers will be able to do.

EU Commission President Barroso Assisted Portuguese Paedophiles ...JUDICIAL/STARTLING & WE MUST KEEP PRESSURE UP! Empty Hang in there .. Maria

Post by Marilyn Tue Aug 19, 2008 1:49 am

Just a note to say I feel for you .. but we do rely on your local information; which is so valuable.
As I said so long ago on Sky, and so many times, I don't wave the flag for any country .. I left my own so long ago & travelled so much, I see life with a global outlook .. and with patriotic blinkers off. And I think you do too really .. the big picture. We all go through life in such a short timespan .. and we get divided from each other by "tribal" emotions & manipulations .. it divides us too often (and of course, sometimes it unites us against a real threat & that is good too).
Anyway - chin up Maria .. your "voice" is a nice one I like to hear and I understand how you feel.

The B*******s in the World control too much, in too many countries, by agreement with too many authorities, & too many people collude in it for self interest -- and our victories are small ones but, we need to keep trying. Hang in there ... :sendingulove:

EU Commission President Barroso Assisted Portuguese Paedophiles ...JUDICIAL/STARTLING & WE MUST KEEP PRESSURE UP! Empty Hi Maria

Post by Rosie Tue Aug 19, 2008 2:31 am

In the UK if this investigation had happened in the same way then for sure the government would have ordered a full independent inquiry, the pressure on them would have been immense.

With something like this hanging over him, Goncalo Amaral would never have been allowed within miles of this case.

We have our fair share of problems in the UK too and we have paedophiles, every country does, so no need to feel so down about it, it is what we do about it that defines us. I can think of a few cases similar to Casa Pia, this is not your fault. The Jersey case for example, this was years and years coming to the public attention, successive governments in the UK must have known about this and ignored it but for some people who would not give up, I doubt it would ever have come to the public attention.

What does it take for the government in Portugal to order an independent public inquiry? They can do this, it is their job.

An outsider looking in it appears to me that Portugal is in denial, but you need a full judicial review of your laws especially the secrecy laws, these are very damaging. Your police do not seem to take orders from anyone, the PJ appears to be made up of loose cannons.

I believe that there was a group of top Portuguese lawyers who were trying to get your laws reviewed and they had a small success?

Rosie

You are right, PJ doesn't take orders from anyone. There has been a change in their organisation in 2000, and they stopped reporting to the prosecutors. The investigations are still directed by the prosecution, but PJ can for instance say 'oh sorry, I'm too busy now, can't take YOUR order'. And off they go investigating on an ATM theft or a drug route for one year to catch 4 pawns, seize 40kg of heroine, 6 rifles, 2 BMWs and 50 000€. Good job, it gives them much visibility, and it is much safer than going after big white collar corrupts, the paedophile rings or individuals, the big construction sharks. The magistrates can't do anything without investigators. That's why the Lawyers Bar bastonário said PJ was operating on free wheel.

The need to change the judicial system (or justice system as it is called around here) is recognized by all sectors of the society. ALL of them. This should be done at the parliament level. Both the current and previous Presidents of the Republic called for a wide 'justice pact' in order to ease the task at hand, but fear to touch installed interests (is this ok?) makes both big parties (socialist and social democrat) to invoke all sorts of ridiculous solutions/reasons not to reach the said 'pact', so the revision cannot take place. The government made two or three changes, some interesting (like reducing the secrecy period, for instance) others innocuous, all fiercely criticised by the other parties and justice operators. They went ahead anyway. But the bulk of change hasn't even been attempted.

People are speaking out loud on an individual basis: the former PJ directors (2 of them already), one or two lawyers. There is a new organisation, Judges for Citizenship, which is doing an excellent work mainly in positive critics, public opinion awareness and education, sugestions, etc. Most needed work, but still not the heart of the problem.

I believe that, in this case, the Ministry of Justice could order a public inquiry. But that would immediately cause such a clash with the PJ union, PJ itself, some magistrates -- that I think the minister doesn't think it's worth it. The small changes he supported already are costing him dearly. Of course, this governement is known for not bending to any dispute, but we have elections next year... And Madeleine is not a popular issue.

You know, there is an ad that says 'what is national is good'. Like the eternally loosing national football team or Gonc.

Rosie

your right,

and in wales alone we have at least two that I can think of.One in south wales and one in north wales. Both involving children from homes and both said to involved officials who aided in a cover up.Google the water house report and read how some of the victims couldnt even stand in court to testify, thus resulting in their abusers being given the benefit of the doubt.

IN bryn alyn children were abused from as early as the 60's and it wasn't discovered until victims come forward in the late 90's. When one came forward more and more came forward to tell of the horrors they suffered there.Their lives were ruined and some were discredited because they felt they weren't reliable witnesses. When in actual fact the only reason they were so 'unreliable' on the stand was due to the fact they had been so badly abused and weren't capable of speaking about what they had suffered. Instead of looking at the persons background and seeing a drug addict who is fighting some of the most horrendous and loneliest memories caused by those who are suppose to have cared for him.. they saw a druggie who was telling lies in order to gain some sort of deluded compensation from jumping on a band wagon.Sickening to say the very least imo.
How anyone can sit and listen to someone break down and say the things some of them revealed (and infront of their abusers too).... and then come to the conclusion they are talking bo####ks is inhumane...this is one of the reasons a lot pointed the finger at a major cover up here.Im not too brushed up on the waterhouse case in n wales.

But it doesn't matter what country your from...what colour you are ...whether your a boy or girl......... man or woman....fit or disabled....rich or poor.........if someone is sick enough to hurt you...they will. And if theres someone in a high up position corrupt enough to cover for them ,then they will to.

Heres a link from the s wales scandal and mentions the north wales case too.

Post by dianeh Tue Aug 19, 2008 9:54 am

I admire you for your ability to look at what is best for your country, rather than taking the whole issue as a put down of your country. I for one only want change in your country because it is what will be best for the country, and not because I think 'our' way is better. But because your justice system is letting down those who need it most. The Victims and their families.

In my country, we are lucky because we have two houses of parliament (as well as two houses in each state except Queensland, so we are truly overgoverned), with different parties controlling each of the houses. The senate is controlled by the conservatives (Liberals) and the house is controlled by the Labour party. Plus we have independents in both houses, that vote however they like. So when we need a senate inquiry (and we have laws to govern these), it can be raised by anyone (regardless of party) and then it is voted on. And the thing with the senate, is that when it comes to the starting of an inquiry, they do not always vote on party lines. But what is important to note, is that if our govt (Labour party) was doing something stupid (and they usually are), then the senate can hold an inquiry into it. And then they are able to recommend a royal commission, at the end of the inquiry, and the govt will always go along with it. So I dont know if the govt cant stop it, or it is just good politics to do it. But anyway, with things such as corruption and paedophilia, if our govt failed to act, then the senate would force the issue.

I also feel sure that there would be street protests and a constant media campaign until the inquiry was called. And if the results of the inquiry were rigged, or ridiculous, then it starts all over again, and the state premiers can get involved. With an open system of govt like ours, it is very difficult for things to be hidden.

But it is the people and to a very large extent the press that drives this. Look at how much the press in the US criticises and investigates the government, state govt's, politicians, governors, etc etc. This is how to keep the b******ds honest.

It is only a matter of time before reforms come into Portugal. Now that the world is a more open place, the ideals of other countries will seep in.

Unfortunately this will do nothing to help Madeleine and any other children that have been stolen or abused, and those that are still in danger now.

As I said before Maria, your opinions are well thought of here, and respected. I am sure that one day you will see the changes that know will benefit the Portuguese people.

Post by Mandz Wed Aug 20, 2008 6:51 am

Hi Maria!

As said every government in every Country needs to do more and paedophiles are everywhere. Take Garry Glitter for example who is now released from Jail – he should return to the UK where he will be assessed and made to register on the sex offenders register and his whereabouts monitored however he does not need to return to the UK so he is free to go off to another Country. He will no doubt do what most paedophiles do is pick a Country where there is no system in place putting children at risk. Every Country needs to work together on this issue and make people like him known or demand they return to their Country or perhaps a universal policy? The good thing is he is known world wide so he cannot escape the lime light but other paedophiles can and that’s a problem for us all every Country every child. I don't see it as one Country v another Country - It’s about tackling these filthy evil ******** to protect all children.

Bye for now!

Jose Manuel Barroso assisted paedophiles? That should not be a surprise considering that he is one. Who say so? Certainly not me [Robert Argiz]. It is all over the Internet -- even at highly reputable journalist intelligence agencies such as the one under the leadership of Christopher Story. That agency even reported that Jose Manuel Barroso ordered the kidnaping of Madeleine McCann. See related writings at: http://the-elite-and-child-abduction.blogspot.com
