My friends, I received this through Google alert:

Reopening of the Maddie case is being reassessed

The process is being reassessed by the Judicial Police of Porto and the Scotland Yard. The investigation team was formed several months ago. But so far not detected anything new to help discover the whereabouts of Madeleine McCann. It is the second time that PJ asks a team outside to examine the process in order to understand if there was a clue that has not been followed.

The attorney Rogério Alves says that police cannot close the process because continues even today to receive informations about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Rogério Alves´s words:

What could motivate this re-opening, is the vast amount of informations police continues to receive since the disappearance of Madeleine until now. From the vast amount of informations, some now are considered more consistent. So, because the issue is not closed, it can only be closed when the truth is known, and, in the view of parents, when they lose the hope of finally finding their daughter, which of course, only occur when they have certainty about what happened to them. What happens is when there is a clue that police considers more consistent, the police follows that possibility, which always do in cooperation with British police.

"The British authorities have formed a team to review all the familiar elements of the process. They moved to Portugal and agreed to collaborate with the PJ. We are doing the same," Pedro do Carmo confirmed.

The same responsible of the Porto PJ stresses that this is not a reopening of the case because it "requires new elements", but a new look at the process elements that were in the hands of the PJ of Portimão, under the command of Gonçalo Amaral, and then under the leadership of former assistant national director, Paulo Rebelo.

This time, adds JN, the national leadership of PJ chose to appoint a team that had nothing to do with the case, having the choice fallen on the regional chamber of research and crime prevention PJ Porto, led by top coordinator Helena Monteiro . "The Porto team is experienced in these cases. Investigated the case of one missing in Lamego," says Pedro do Carmo, alluding to the case of Carina Ferreira, a couple of Lamego who disappeared and whose body was found after a month of searching a ravine a motorway.

The aim of this new collaboration between PJ and Scotland Yard is looking for clues as well and fill gaps left by the first investigation into the disappearance of British girl who at the time, was vacationing with her parents and siblings in the Algarve tourist resort, Ocean Club, the Village of Light The child is no longer seen on 3 May 2007, nine days before completing four years.

The Maddie McCann case

PJ Porto passes the comb in Maddie McCann case

Almost four years after being filed by the prosecutor, the case of the disappearance of British girl Madeleine McCann in the Algarve is being re-examined the comb. In Portugal, was chosen a team of researchers from the Port PJ.

Side the UK, Scotland Yard haggles no way of knowing what happened to little Maddie, whose disappearance in 2007 was terminated in July 2008 by the Portuguese Public Prosecutor. Only in 2011 were spent 2.2 million euros. And the team comprises 37 people.

But the investigators concluded that nothing would make no connection with Portugal. Therefore, we established a partnership with PJ, who investigated the case for 14 consecutive months - first with the head of Gonçalo Amaral, the PJ of Portimão, then under the leadership of former deputy national director of PJ, Paulo Rebelo.

This time, to work in this case, the national leadership of PJ chose to appoint a team that had nothing to do with the case. The choice fell on the Regional Section of the Criminal Investigation and Prevention PJ Porto, led by Helena Monteiro top coordinator.

It is a brigade experienced in cases of loss. A successful example was a couple of Lamego, Carina Ferreira, whose body was found after a month of searching a ravine freeway.

The goal is, from new perspectives on the case, look for clues to follow and fill any gaps in the initial investigations.

"Despite having been formally filed, we continue to have an unexplained disappearance. The filing does not mean that the Judicial Police has less interest in the clarification and looking for answers," explains the JN Pedro do Carmo, deputy national director.

Archiving precipitated

According to information collected by JN in recent months British authorities have moved four times to Portugal. Recently, researchers at the Port were also in Lagos.

As part of ongoing efforts - no proceedings have been formally reopened by the prosecutor - is open the possibility of reconstituting the circumstances prior to the disappearance of Maddie, the May 3, 2007, at the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz, Lagos.

This approach was not implemented because - remember - the McCann couple of friends and six refused to participate. "The interest of the British authorities appreciates all the work done by the Portuguese police and questioned the reason for filing a premature and abrupt. Truth material was still outstanding," said JN to Gonçalo Amaral, the first coordinator of investigation, however reformed.

The process was filed in 2008 by the Public Ministry, but the PJ Porto may be called the new steps in Madeleine McCann case to understand what happened to the child who disappeared in the Algarve.

The PJ is considering reopening the case Maddie McCann, in partnership with Scotland Yard police in search of new data that enable advances in unraveling the disappearance of the English in Portugal. The prosecutor dismissed the case in 2008, but the PJ was called to the Port ums possible reopening of the case.

According to the national leadership of PJ Porto investigators were chosen on the basis that they had never been involved in pursuing the disappearance of Maddie and because they have experience in such investigations.

There are already joint actions between the Port and PJ Scotland Yard, the second advance on Friday the JN, which may lead to demand for new information on the whereabouts of Madeleine McCann, who disappeared 4 years.

The Regional Chamber of Criminal Investigation and Prevention of PJ Port were called to intervene on never having been involved in the case. The deputy national director, Pedro Carmo, which explains the JN, despite having been made to prosecute, the PJ has never ceased to be interested in ascertaining the truth.

On 23 and November 25, 2011, Scotland Yard has made efforts in Spain. Madeleine's parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, have proved at that time "very happy with the progress of investigations." At the time, was not known if there was some significant data on the whereabouts of the British girl. But it was noted that Scotland Yard continued investigations, unlike PJ.

Since the reopening of the case, Scotland Yard has sent police to Portugal three times. Madeleine McCann was almost four years when she disappeared on 3 May 2007, the apartment where he spent a family vacation in Praia da Luz (Algarve).

The case is filed in Portugal, and the Attorney General's Office will reopen only if there are new facts. The PJ Porto can make his debut in this investigation.

Maddie McCann is alive on the Internet ...

The 'World' is still looking for Maddie. The PJ created a very special equipment will review the case together with the Yard.

Never the disappearance of a child created a big media frenzy. Madeleine McCann disappeared on 3 May 2007 in Praia da Luz, Algarve.

From the disgruntled parent suspects, McCann consciously or unconsciously, fueled the mystery and the media. A year later, the case was filed. No suspects, no conclusions, responses and much controversy between the British couple and the Portuguese authorities.

Maybe that's why, even today, the world waits for answers. The PJ has created a very special team that will review the case, along with Scotland Yard.

But in real life no one knows what happened to Madeleine McCann, there is a place where it is very much alive: the Internet. Sites, blogs, books, videos, documentaries.

The page created by the parents of Maddie is still active. In "Find Madeleine", Gerry and Kate explain why not give up and call for new donations to the fund that ensures the search for her daughter. Show photos, videos and sell products: bracelets, posters and even T-Shirts with a picture of Maddie.

But the truth is that most of the sites found on the Internet claims that the child died in the apartment in Praia da Luz and that parents are responsible for what happened.

There are sites that show a very comprehensive level of information provided. They even have all the research, however disclosed by prosecutors Portuguese, translated into different languages. Gather news and to do interviews.

And, it is curious that in addition to sites in English and Portuguese, is also easy to find pages in other languages such as these two: "Hasta la Verdad that separate 'and' Unterdenteppichgekehrt '.

What about books? They were written over 20 books on Madeleine McCann. One of the last, written by an American profiler, Pat Brown. The book went on sale in the form of ebook on Amazon, but soon, after just removed the legal representatives of McCann deem "defamatory".

In 2009, the 'Daily IOL "(now TVI24.pt) interviewed Tony Bennett, a British lawyer, in her 60s, now retired, after the disappearance of Maddie started a struggle for Kate and Gerry were accused of negligence . He later wrote a book entitled "What Really Happened to Madeleine McCann? 60 Reasons That Which suggest she was not abducted. "

But the most controversial book that was raised, no doubt, 'Maddie - The Truth Lies "written by former judicial police inspector, Gonçalo Amaral, who led the investigation into the disappearance of Maddie in the first months. The parents of Madeleine succeeded even though the book was forbidden to sell for some time.

On YouTube, a search with the name of Madeleine McCann is close to six thousand videos. Many made by anonymous, without any connection to the case, research and the family.

And as the digital world is not limited in time and space, after her disappearance, Madeleine 'emerged' in social networks. Not only the official page on facebook created by parents, as in many others, people who felt touched by the story. The same happened on twitter.

To Rogério Alves, these decisions demonstrate only that "the police are aware and is committed to discovering what happened to Madeleine."

The lawyer says not to fear a resumption of proceedings in court, which will only happen if new evidence is discovered, and even expresses the wish that "the investigations bring sufficient evidence to reopen the case."

"The responsibility of the parents was dismissed by prosecutors. Parents have nothing to fear and what they want is new information which might contribute to the discovery of truth and that it may pass through the reopening of the case," he concluded.
