That is all I need to hear. It is not impossible, it has happened many times, and will happen many more times. Remind me who this Moita Flores is. Surely not a copper or a prosecutor, because if so, should be sacked immediately and if already retired, forced to pay back his pension for taking it under false pretences.

Someone needs to slap people like this down. They deserve ridicule and abuse for saying such absolute and deceptive rubbish.

Which raises the real question.

Moita Flores is retired PJ and criminologist, a friend of Amaral and mayor of Santarem, now part time due to health reasons. He has been on many TV programmes speaking against the McCanns and was a witness for Amaral at thecourt case in Lisbon in 2009.
