I've now seen the clip of Grenville speaking.

He was probably allowed no more than 20-25 seconds, during which he briefly articulated that this was essentially a 'freedom of speech' issue and why shouldn't the public be allowed to hear what the senior detective's opinion was so they could make up their own minds.

Even the pro-McCanns grudgingly acknowledge that he made a simple point quite well.

Freedom of Speech is only allowed if its a anti McCann statement. All others should be banned in tones world.

There is NO way I agree with anything Bennett or Grenville have to say - I know they have a motive and their motive is completely against everything I believe in. It's like when Morais and her bunch were asking for the case to be re-opened - do I personally think the case should be re-opened (yes) but I will only sign my name if Dr. Gerry McCann or Dr. Kate Heeley acknowledge that they are supporting this request by this group and they didn't.

freedom of speech?? i agree that it doesn't license you to push misery onto others.

Freedom of speech is something gonc is saying a lot lately however it baffles me that he shut the mccanns up so quickly??Or he tried to.Why cant the mccanns have same freedom of speech gonc?I know why.....because it seriously undermines your word,that's why,and because their word is devastating to your case.
