I just wanted to offer my prayers for Faith and Hope, the conjoined twins, who are to undergo surgery to seperate them tonight. I understand the chances of survival for them are only 20%. My God, what are their parents going through right now? I pray they both make it. :littleangel: :littleangel:

You´re right my friend Vee. Please God, protect these two conjoined twins and let them live for many years, with lots of life, health, with their parents. Amen.

Faith and Hope. Empty Faith and Hope

Post by dianeh Wed Dec 03, 2008 8:24 am

My heart goes out to Faith and Hope's parents. Having handed my 3 wo baby girl over to a heart surgeon, I do know the fear that they are going through. I have read that the girls are joined at the breast bone and share a liver. This is good news in the conjoined twins world. There were two little boys separated back in October with the same thing. BUT these little girls also have a congenital heart condition, both of them, which is the reason why they are being separated now. I havent read any details as to what it is. But even the most minor heart surgery, such as my little girl had, is scary beyond belief with tiny babies. And then when you see them in intensive care, your heart just breaks. For me, the worst was when they removed the breathing tube and my daughter stopped breathing, and they struggeld to get her breathing again properly, it took around 6 hours before her breathing was normal, but that first 15 minutes or so was the scariest thing I have ever been through. The registrar was beside himself, so we knew it was serious. Even today (4 years later), when I think about it, I get upset.

So to Mum and Dad, I am thinking of you and hope with all my heart that all goes well. Be strong and trust in your medical team, they will do the very best that they can for you daughters.

My thoughts are with you.

Vee

Sorry, I've been missing many things and I'm afraid it will go on for a while still.

Any news on Faith and Hope?

Maria, I'm afraid Hope didn't make it, her little lungs were just too small for her to survive. I believe she died within hours, in her father's hands. Mother was too upset to be there. Faith is still clinging on, God bless.

I just dont have the words to express how I feel for these parents. To lose both children and the second on Christmas day.

My hope is that they are strong enough to endure this trial.

Faith and Hope are together again, in the arms of the angels. Such short little lives, but so much love for them.
