Amaral's lawyer: Portuguese citizens must be concerned that a court may forbid Goncalo Amaral to talk or think about the case.

I would hope all Portuguese citizens would be more concerned about the rights of a child!

Pedro, Cabrita must have been referring to that one person who was kept behind the crash barriers outside the courtroom!

Funny because if the normal Portuguese citizens were that worried I would have thought they would have turned up en masse? No they are not worried because they know it is NOT free speech on trial here, but Amaral thinking it is OK to insult and accuse two innocent people of the most heinous crime.

Publisher's lawyer: This company has published another book called "McCann's Guilt" (translation), but that was not banned.

No one had heard of that book and one has to assume that the author did not openly accuse the McCanns of killing their child and concealing her body!

The ONLY reason why anyone is taking any notice of this book is because Amaral was in charge of the investigation for just five months, five months in which we witnessed leaks, smears and innuends coming out of the PJ daily.
Amaral WAS the investigating offer, he didn't want Madeleine found then and he certainly does not want her found now! Look at what he has to lose!

Cabrita: I refute the idea that any Portuguese citizen is forbidden to talk about this case.

But Amaral isn't just any Portuguese Citizen is he. He is a convicted perjurer who is trying to make money off the back of a missing child and in the process denying her, her right to be found.

Cat she has questioned the two witnesses this morning. What is happening now is the lawyers closing arguments, we have heard Cabrita for Amaral (useless), we heard the lawyer for the publishers and now we are hearing the lawyer for the TV1 company.
This one is especially annoyed because he just learned that the McCanns have started criminal proceedings against them, pretty soon I think we should hear from Isabel Duarte.

Have these lawyers all got together and decided to hold a Floundation type meeting? They are all saying exactly the same thing, hardly any diffence, it is as if they are repeating it parrot fashion!

No evidence nothing, just a lot of waffle about free speech!

Amaral is even bored with it, he got up and left the courtroom again, gone off for a little drinkie no doubt, bet he is NOT picked up in his Jaguar! bet he doesn't say "F*** The McCanns" again either!
