With Regard to Vexatious Litigants

A vexatious litigant is a person who has been forbidden by a High Court Judge to issue civil proceedings in any court in England and Wales without permission.

In my opinion Tony Bennett more than complies with the criteria needed to be judged a vexatious litigant, regardless of what it says above, one does not have to keep bringing civil law suits, there is actually a range of criteria that could if carried out be judged to be "vexatious". Bennett's persistent letters to CR, to the police forces all over this country not only about the McCanns, but about a wide variety of issues, his constant accusations of Brian Kennedy, Smethurst, Michael Barrymore, Clarence Mitchell and a whole host of other people, make him a vexatious litigant, the last Attorney General (Baroness Scotland) judged not, now we have a new AG, (Dominic Grieve) I wonder if it is worth while asking for Bennett to be looked at again? Why should he constantly make accusations about all kind so of people and get away with it?
Ignoring him does NOT work, it does not make a scrap of difference, he still does it, I believe the only way he is going to stop is if he is forcibly stopped. If he has mental health issues, this is no excuse, someone else in his family should stop him or the authorities should move to have him sectioned under the mental health act.

Harassment and stalking are against the law and it is about time the law did something about this and Bennett! Incidentally, there is an injunction registered in the High Court against Bennett, which he is in serious breach of, perhaps the police can now act as this is actually now a criminal offence.

The page was last updated on 17 August, 2010, but it is by the look of it a rarely used law.
Once Bennett is added to this list it would make it extremely difficult for him to carry on the way he is going now, in my opinion it should be done and done ASAP.

Is there any way we could write to the Attorney General, Dominic Grieve, to request this, giving him evidence of Bennett's actions? It seems as though Carter Ruck are either stalling because they haven't enough evidence, or they feel it would be a waste of time! Either way, from what I have seen over the last three and a half years, they are wrong if they don't do anything, Bennett's harrassment has gone on far too long.

It would be nice if he got onto that list. Thanks Rosie for reminding us about it.
Can't remember, but didn't the last AG write why she thinks he shouldn't be on that list? Is it possible to counter her arguments with new developments, new proof of what TB is doing?

We did try to get him on that list....a load of us wrote to the ATTN GEN.
Trying to recall the answer we got.......

It's just that courts are loathe to use the law.
And for all of Bennett's crap, he hasn't actually brought many direct lawsuits.
He prefers to just lie and defame, bring lurid allegations in the press, etc.
