I think she is alive, but admit to feeling frustrated with the Portuguese police for the way they have deliberately obstructed this investigation and now as more and more reports of corruption, torture and beatings come out of Portugal, I am beginning to think that more than Goncalo Amaral knows who took Madeleine and where she is.
The Portuguese police are running Portugal, the government are just there for window dressing.
