My friends, at Times Online today: CEOP´s success leads to independent status. It is CEOP´s first full day as a independent law enforcement agency. The Home Secretary announced yesterday that the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) would become a non-departmental public body and that its powers would be beefed up. The big winner is Jim Gamble, the head of CEOP, who has worked hard at establishing the organisation, building a strong media profile and maling a political impact. Alan Johnson described CEOP as a "remarkable success", praising its range of work from the hunt for the Most Wanted child sex offenders to its extensive education programme and work in protecting children using the internet. The agency´s most high-profile campaign is the Minute for Madeleine Video.

Thank you so much for posting this Pedro, this is indeed the most fantastic news, especially as CEOPS wants to be involved and is involved in the search for Madeleine McCann.
