Isabel Duarte, the McCanns' solicitor, asked to see the dossier after Paiva mentioned it at a court hearing.



So that is how Isabel found out about it. Definitely an inside source then. Paiva himself.

Did anyone else in the PJ ever review the information in this 'secret' file?

No Isabel found out very easily: Paiva stated in court that 'only last week I received 2 or 3 pieces of information that were analysed and duly filed'. He also admitted that an investigator who believes that a girl is dead will not look for a living one. Then Isabel went down to Portimão and requested to see the files. As you know, they are public now and Isabel is an 'interested party' as lawyer.
