Police say there is no evidence to suggest Audrey has come to any harm

Scotland Yard released CCTV footage of the woman who turned up at Walworth police station in south-east London saying she was a friend of the toddler's mother.
The girl, Audrey Nyanor, is of Ghanaian descent, according to police.
When last seen she was wearing pink trousers, pink coat and a pink and white hat.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the child went missing after officers went to an address in De Laune Street, Walworth, on Thursday.
The mother and child were taken to Walworth police station, where officers contacted family members and friends to arrange for Audrey to be looked after.
The spokesman said: "At approximately 10.30am a woman attended the police
station purporting to be a 46-year-old friend of the mother.
"The details she gave to police corresponded with the name of the woman Audrey's mother had told police would pick up her daughter, and as a result she left the police station with the child at approximately 10.40am.
"Subsequently it became apparent that the woman was not the same person who had been organised to pick up the child.
"Whilst there is no evidence at this stage to suggest that Audrey has come to any harm we are very concerned that she remains missing and we are making every effort to ensure she is safely returned."
Audrey's mother was later released on bail.
Six people have been arrested in connection with the investigation, according to the Met.

FFS, how about the police checking ID before handing over a child.

And real alarm bells should be ringing. How did the fake know what name to use? Baby Girl Taken From London Police Station 269937

It seems very odd doesnt it?
How did the woman even know a child was waiting there to be collected in the first place??
Alarm bells, yes.
Hopefully this child is found quickly and has come to no harm and the cops involved should (imo) spend every minute of their day finding her and not stop until they do!

Audrey Nyanor has been missing since Thursday

Scotland Yard released CCTV footage of the woman who turned up at Walworth police station in south-east London saying she was a friend of the toddler's mother.
The girl, Audrey Nyanor, is black and of Ghanaian heritage, according to police.
When last seen she was wearing pink trousers, a pink coat and a multi-coloured pink and white hat.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the child went missing after officers went to an address in De Laune Street, Walworth, on Thursday to make inquiries about a man wanted for failing to appear at court.
He was not in but police arrested the girl's 36-year-old mother in connection with alleged immigration offences.

Mystery woman caught on CCTV at Elephant and Castle tube station carrying Audrey

The mother and child were taken to Walworth police station, where officers spoke to family members and friends to arrange for Audrey to be looked after.
The spokesman said: "At approximately 10.30am a woman attended the police station purporting to be a 46-year-old friend of the mother.
"The details she gave to police corresponded with the name of the woman Audrey's mother had told police would pick up her daughter, and as a result she left the police station with the child at approximately 10.40am.
"Subsequently it became apparent that the woman was not the same person who had been organised to pick up the child.
"As a result a police investigation began to find Audrey, and to identify and trace the woman who took her.
"Whilst there is no evidence at this stage to suggest that Audrey has come to any harm we are very concerned that she remains missing and we are making every effort to ensure she is safely returned."
Police issued images of the woman at the police station and at Elephant and Castle underground station, where she was pictured carrying Audrey.
She is described as black, believed to be of Ghanaian heritage, of medium build with short black hair.
She was wearing a bright red coat and dark knee-length boots.
Audrey's mother was later released on bail.
Six people have been arrested in connection with the investigation, according to the Met.

The woman was arrested over illegal immigrant offenses.

I don't believe the child as been abducted by anyone who is going to hurt her.

I think the little girls mum knows exactly whos taken her.Im not exactly sure what illegal immigrant offenses they have arrested her in connection with however im wondering if she maybe wants her child to be brought up in the uk,and the taking of her child as been something she as had planned from day one, just incase she is ever caught and arrested.

Could be wrong but that's my thought on this case.

Missing toddler found safe and well

Missing toddler Audrey Nyanor has been found safe and well in north London, a police spokesman said.
A woman, aged in her thirties, who was with her when she was found in Harlesden, was arrested and is in custody at a west London police station.
Audrey's mother has been told and the child is being looked after by officers at the station.
Her grandmother Agatha Owsuah, 54, of Peckham, south London, said it was "great news".
She said: "The police just called and said they wanted to give us the good news. We are very, very happy. We are not sure when we can see her but we are very relieved. It is great news."
The child went missing after being handed over to a woman at Walworth police station, south London, on Thursday.
Officers had arrested Audrey's mother earlier that morning at an address in De Laune Street, Walworth, in connection with alleged immigration offences.
Mrs Owsuah said an officer asked her daughter who they could call to look after the baby and initially contacted Mrs Boakye's stepfather.
He visited the station but said he could not take the child because he was working, and officers were then given the number of another relative who agreed to come and collect Audrey.
The 18-month-old toddler was later handed over to a woman claiming to be that relative.

Baby Girl Taken From London Police Station 985497 glad shes been found, I hope they hand her over to relatives now though....wouldn't like to think they were scared to make another mistake by handing her over to people and so decide to keep her in some foster place under their watchful eye.No child should be away from their family especially at this time of year.Hopefully this mess will be cleared up soon as.
